is a java 45/4500 tank good,or is there any better ones for around 100/150
what is a good pod harness that keeps the pods secure till you need them??
and what is a good hopper that will keep up with a autococker for around 100$

Since your a beginner i wouldn't suggest a cocker. They are very unreliable. Instead, get an Impulse, BKO, B2k, or even better, a used matrix(trix) or intimidator(timmy)

Javas are decent air tanks, Pure energy tanks are also nice budget tanks. If you have any extra money after the marker and hopper look into getting a fiber wrapped tank instead. They are more expensive but much lighter and come in bigger capacities and different sizes(ie: peanuts which are wide but not long)
what is a good pod harness that keeps the pods secure till you need them??
Great harnesses are made by Dye, Redz, and NXe. Choose a capacity that reflects on what posistion you like to play(backs need more pods, were fronts carry less for lightness and smaller profiles).
and what is a good hopper that will keep up with a autococker for around 100$
For $100 i would choose a used Halo B or Empire Reloader B. If your willing to spend a little more then buy one of those new. The Reloader B is basically the same except that it is sound activated(it also has sensors like the Halo's for back up) which makes it more reliable and it has a rip drive which allows you to unclog jams and manually load balls(rip drive is also avaliable on the halo).
Any suggestions on names for a team i was thinking of the blue bandits or green goblins or sumthing like that
There is a thread with names in the tournament section of this forum.link

300-600...i'd say get a "private label" impulse (the one in my sig minus the ramping board was 575 but there are ones on the site i bought it off of for cheaper)...or if you prefer customizing your own impulse...you can get one for about 425 but need about 100 worth of ups to make it pretty decent...if you want to spend closer to the 300 zone...a BKO is a good gun...made by Indian Creek Designs.
The java's are alright like said above...but if i were you i'd consider investing 50 more in a PMI Pure energy tank and mabye shaving off $50 on the highest price for your gun.
REDZ is really good but JT, NXE and Extreme rage makes good packs for under $50 or so...
DO NOT buy your hopper used...$110=halo b but that is overkill for a mech cocker or even a base impulse...a good hopper for $70 is an evlution 2 (egg) it'd be good for a cocker or base impulse...
team names i like better in one word....i.e. Goblins, bandits...just to play of what you said.

i owned a cocker for around 8 months. I loved it and just recently sold it. I never said autocockers were bad guns, i just said they were unreliable. Cockers are consistent, have low kick, and are very upgradable. But, as i have said, they are unreliable. I have seen many new players with cockers that have to have them fixed every time they go and play. It is a hassle and it is unneccesary for a new player.
However, i think Brockocoli sumed it up best. You just have to know a lot about them. Cockers are learning experiences and that is undeniable.

also to get cockers working at the best speed you need to spend loads of money to get an eblade.

thats true
Cockers can shoot around 8-10bps stock which is much slower then the other markers i recomended. However, cockers are very consistent, have low kick, and can be truely high end if your willing to put money into it(youll never get that money back though since cocker resale is horrible).

The reason is they try to mess with something that works fine, or do something they shouldnt have witch results in problems.

Get an ********** Extreme 2004 BKO. It's a great begginer gun and propably very easy t9o take care of. **********'s version of the BKO is super "fabolouso" because he already put some WICKED SWEET upgrades on it.
4 Way solenoid
MAC Ram internals
QEV's for Ram assembly
Ported and Polished all internals
Tuned for consistant cycling at 300 fps!!!
It is 425.00, a nice deal I can say. After you buy it, you might have 175.00, buy a Halo B, then try and buy atleast a 45/45.

not allways, timing settings can also just change over time or because of a change in the enviorment. Ive seen many, many problems with cockers. Too many to count. However, i have yet to see anyone have a single problem with a BKO.
Dont get me wrong, cockers are nice guns. and with an ebalde 1/2 most of these problems go away. They just arent good for a newer player.

my brother is screwed lol. He just ordered the 04 vert and knows about as much about cockers as i know about programming C++, which is nil. Im forcing him to read the manual and several faqs about them as well as basic trouble shooting. ive also got that timing video ready for him. Ill fill his head with so much stuff he will wish he never bought it, until he gets to the feild that is.
the funny thing is he will be playing with his freinds who have only played once before. Ill let him mow some muppets then take him to some feilds with better opposition

it sounds like this is his first marker so inform him on the basics to...when i first got mine i was only in a marginally better posistion and was totally perplexed by why my marker kept chopping(short stroking).
saying they are learning experiences is a huge understatment...make him read the cocker forums here and on the nation since that will answer a lot of the questions he has before he runs into the problems.
edit: yeah, i think i have seen this thread before(look at my first post). I think the guy just posts the thread and doesnt look at it agian. lol.
