I have been paintballing for a couple months now with a brass eagle eradicator, i just bought a new tippmann 98 custom and i have a couple questions:

2.what does it mean to be "bunkered"?

1. i have seen people use them, but they're more show and useful. this is because you tend to have to aim up quite a bit to get on target.
2. thats when you are behind a bunker in speedball and somebody runs up on you and shoots you point blank. oftentimes in recball this is discouraged in favor of a "safety bunker" or "bunker tap" rule. in other words the person slaps the bunker rather than shooting.

dont worry, everybody has the silly questions in the begining.
Have u checked out the tippmann forum here? Lots of good info and mods there. There is no reason to use bi-pods (actually hoppers) b/c w/ large packs that can carry 10 pods or more, well thats 1000 rounds w/ tiny 100rnd pods, 1500 i think if u use 150rnd pods. Also it would make the guns heavier, and a little akward w/ the strange balance of weight.
There is 1 gun i know of that uses bi-hoppers, its made by palmers pursuit shop, its a pump gun. Very cool, and very expensive.
Bunkered, is when someone runs up to ur bunker and gets u out when they are close, normally while running by u. "Bunkered" b/c ur at ur bunker when it happens.
For more info, try a search on the forums. This would save a few pointless threads, also check stickies.

NO Bi-pods, on Speedball courses especially.
Look a Bipods purpose, to stabilize the shooting platform in order to eliminate recoil from the firing gun. These are on EXTREMLY heavy or guns with exceeding amounts of recoil. Like Sniper rifles, the M249, and the M60.
On ALL Paintball guns recoil is minimal, even on the Heavy kicking Tippmann 98s. Not enough to alter your second, and subsequent shots completely off target. This is aided with a firm grip on the gun and a nice balanced platform.
Why would you need a bipod then? To add more weight on top of your gun? Most of the time you will be hiding behind a bunker or something rather than set up nicely on top of one, if you were setup on one, you would be knocked down pretty fast. Even in woodsball, why are staying put for? are you scared of getting hit?
bunkered has been answered above.

Yeah, bipods serve no practical purpose in any type of paintball. Solely cosmetic, youlll see alot of cosmetic features for tippmanns and other scanario/woodsball guns, just dont buy into em.

I have a Bi pod on my A-5 (for woodsball)because my grandpa gave it to me. Its not very heavy but i wouldnt recomend buying one. The only good thing about it is if you are shooting at someone and you are behind a log you can rest it on there.

A Bi-Pod is a scenario thing usually, maybe woodsballing, but not often.
Bunkerd is usually described as when an opponent sweeps by your bunker at a close range, eleminating you.
