Unhappy How much does paint matter

I was wondering if the quality of the paint i use will affect my gun. Does paint really matter that much. I have a Spyder Tl-x an Evelution 2 loader and a CO2 tank. Aslo whats better about compresed air over CO2

Thumbs up

Paint is one of the big factors that affects how your shots will land and how efficient your marker will perform.

You need to have good paint, otherwise it will break in your barrel or won't break at all when it hits your target. Its bore size needs to be just right- too big and it increases the chance it will break in your barrel and it will take more gas to push the paintball out of the barrel (more friction than is needed). Too small and it will simply drop out and/or bounce around in your barrel, again making it so it might break.

Compressed air is cleaner and isn't affected by outside temperature like Co2. Co2 in the winter is always tricky to do, but compressed air can be used year round. The tanks are much more expensive for CA/nitro, but it's worth it especially in higher-end guns where it won't freeze up in your marker and ruin your internals (like Co2 can do in cold weather).
