how to be the best member
We are looking for a few vets to play the part. we always hear about all the good members beeing banned. well thats because they stopped being helpers and started hurting the forums.
Here is what you do to support the forum. Someone says something stupid posts in the wrong place or just has no clue how to use the forum then STOP don't flame don't just leave the thead and move on.
Post a helpfull comment. you can help them if you want. but I would appreciate if you also helped them in this way.
Remind nicely to use the search and tell them that the option is there right on the top right of the sight. then also link them or ask them to use a more specific section or a frequently asked questions section.
I know the same questions get very old but the question needs to be answered. teach other people how to teach themselves so they can help other soon.
As far as flame pits go the paintball chat and new player sections can get bloody.
a flame pit burns out if it doesn't get fueled...by replying to flames it is just upping the thread...that makes it so other members questions are burried so you can argue. this isn't going to be allowed.
We ask you be the bigger man. take a step back report the thread. Believe it or not we recieve very few reported threads each day. I would rather get 20 reports and have them cleaned then none and have flame wars.
A little help will get you alot of praise. keep the reported posts coming and help out. you will be noticed and thanked.
