Federalists FTW.
Federalists were a party just like Democrats or Republicans today. Our country wasn't built on a single party's platform...ftw.

And to quote the Federalist Papers in an internet discussion about energy drinks is just absurd. Neither party is guilty of any of that, though some individuals are.

that's exactly what the reason is.
coffee is expensive and is hard to down liek you can down an energy drink.

energy drinks are often given away as free promotions, and kids go nuts on them because they're so easy to drink and they have a pleasant(to some people at least) taste.

Obviously the federalists were a political party, it wasn't a gentlemen's club at a resort...

And it's not absurd; shall i quote some blog, instead, to not mix mediums? Would that be more appropriate? I felt the content of that was fitting to the tone of the discussion, that being one of removing the liberty (to buy energy drinks as a minor) to contain a faction (of gratuitous imbibing of energy drinks, to sometimes disastrous ends).
