President Musharraf is an idiot...he tries to "help" his people by making it look like he's not a dictator, but he got there in the first place by a military coup of the government a few years back.

The US is already pretty involved, but they know that they can play Musharraf since he wants stuff like our F-16's and he'll play nice and fight the Taliban if we don't remove him from power.

Pakistan is nuts.

I called CSPAN a few weeks ago and asked the President of the ABA what I could do. He pretty much said nothing.

Musharraf is supposed to be stepping down as head of the army pretty soon, and while I wouldn't hold my breath for free, democratic elections in January, I'd bet that sometime in the near future, Pakistan will quit being such a ****hole.
