With the tax cuts being out and the new tax increases they will pay at least $2000 more in taxes, for familie making like $50,000 a year. The numbers are something close to that, not sure on the exact.
Oh yea, it isn't looking too good for the Obama/Jackson ticket.
What do you all think about what he plans to do with the Whitehouse? Somewhere said he wanted to change the Bowling Alley to a basketball court. And take the TV out of the Lincoln Bedroom. Instead of taking it out he could just let some of his relatives visit, im sure it would become mis.. Never mind.

The democrats have always had a dumb view on taxes. I think that's what dhill's middle class comment was referring to.

Honestly, raising taxes would make more sense to me than cutting taxes would (Though cutting spending would be most ideal). And in the long run, if you want to say that raising taxes will hurt the middle class, I'd say you're wrong. I think it's pretty much a fact now a days that Ricardian Equivalence doesn't hold, and that deficit spending does have a large negative impact on the US economy. I'll PM people some articles on said matter if anyone has an interest.
To go along with what you're saying though, I'd agree that democrats are some big pieces of **** when it comes to taxes and spending, but the republicans are too, so the tax issue wouldn't really affect my voting decision.
In this election, if I were one of the votes in play, one of the things I would take interest in is how each candidate is running their campaign (which is to me, the one of the most accurate measure of their ability to lead and be commander in chief). And if you ask me, Obama is leading McCain right now by no small margin when it comes to his ability to lead his campaign. Since last year, McCain has had some big problems with running his campaign, and even recent events has show that his campaign is much more sloppy than Obama. Obama and his campaign seem to be much tighter than McCains, and also have done a great job with manuevering Obama around problems while on the trail.

Raising taxes is the last thing we need right now. ESPECIALLY the capital gains tax. Even Hilary knew enough not to say that she would definitely raise the capital gains tax.

It doesn't hurt Obama is pretty much getting a free ride in the media, except on conservative radio. They are the only ones who will even question him.

You should be reading some of those articles I mentioned then
As for the free pass from the media, hardly. Unless by media you mean Rolling Stone and Slate magazines...
