Gentlemen tell me what you think. Paintball is spreading in my area. And I love the sport and would like to spread the addiction like crack. I have 20 to 25 friends ages 21-26 who have played in the past and want to play now in a league. All of us are new to the rules and regs. but we are all natural athletes and excel in the sport. We nedd to break up into teams assign captains and get practicing. What do you guys suggest.

Damn, can I board with someone? I fit nicely into that demographic. I wish there was that much interested among my friends, my brother and I struggle to find enough people to get a good game going.

It sounds like you have some good ideas already, I think you would do well to make up the teams based on who are good friends, as opposed to skill levels, because it sounds like everyone is more or less equal, and team chemistry is very important. I would break up into 4 teams that way you can play 5 man even if someone is missing some day, and 5 man is a nice sized game.

I can't really recommend much else without knowing more about your situation. For example, are you playing at an organized field or just out in the woods or a field. Does everyone have their own gun already, or some do some don't? Are you looking at making it a competetive league or just a recreational league, (ie keep w/l records and have playoffs or not). Just providing some more information about what you are interested in doing will help ensure that you get better recommendations.

aftermath, woodsball or speedball? either way id check out both or the specific sub forum for more info. Pick 2 captains who show leadership qualities or who feel that are better than most other people. And have fun, practice strategies, shoot or be shot, and all that other good stuff.

We are going to be playing at Randolph paintball and this place in Whitman. We will be playing woods and speed. Pretty much everybodys gotta buy gear we were all renters because we did it once in a while.

I'm in teh same situation as you aftermath. Except I'm 15 and lack a car. CAnobie paintballs owns randolph, but randolph indoor is RIGHT next to a commutor rail station so that works out well for me. CAnobie is where I started.
