Quick Story...
Headly, you're in Media? I have perhaps my worst paintball story ever from driving through Media. If you'll humor me to post it here, I'll be quick.
About 6 years ago (1998, I think), some firends of mine and I were just getting into the EMR scene (we're all from N. DE). As part or the Boneheads Big'n that year, we requested and recieved permission to build and bring a tank. I got an old Chevy Cavalier wagon from a local gas station for free. The old owner, Jasani Bahrat, ran it w/o oil and it was pretty toasted. Had maybe 1k miles left on it. We chopped the top off, put a turret on, made some other mods, gave it a ghettoflage paint job and did the whole works. It was named the "Bahrat Bandit" in honor if its former owner. The file is too big to attach whole, so the pic is just a thumbnail.
We trailered it and put it behind my Ford van. Well, I know I'm an engineer, but I screwed it up. I set the handbrake as habit when I parked the tank on the trailer. So when I tightened up the back chain, the car didn't roll and tighten up the front chains. We made it to Media when the whole thing started to vibrate like crazy. I looked in the mirror and the tank literally jumped off the trailer and came after us. It barrel-rolled passing us in the air, landed on its roof, flipped end-over-end 4 or 5 times, rolled side to side 4 or 5 more times, landed on its wheels, did doughnuts, landed again on its side and slid off the highway. It ended up about 100 yards in front of us. The van had a sizeable dent out of the left side with skid marks from where the car ramped up the side of the van.
It's sitting in some Media, PA junkyard now because we had to call the wrecker to come get it. The thing was toast. We showed up at EMR and everyone asked us where our tank was. I just said, "Well..."
Anyhow, next time I plan to go on up to EMR is for Quest two weeks before Castle Conquest. I should be bringing a horde of people for CC. Anybody that wants, send me PM or something and we'll get together for a beer or something if you're old enough. Anybody that's in the area and plays backyard ball with their friends and would like a few more players or something new, let me know. Lastly, any good renegade fields in the area? Delaware industrial park has pretty much been shut down and housing developments have taken over most of the northern DE places to play. Let me know if there's anything decent in the area still left if you know of one.
Thanks in advance and I hope to see some of you guys on a field soon!

I am from Johnstown, Pa in south (westcentral) PA. Its the place that had the big floods. Some of you may know it as that. We play mainly in fields we make around and sometimes in the small places around the area. Working on saving up money to buy some air barriers to make an airball field

Lookin for good advice.....
If you all wanna see some good team guys on film.. Like real good fundamental play, and see how it's done almost to perfection, we have some old team footage. Since the team has moved onto bigger and better things. Some are trying out for professional squads as I type this. No big teams or anything, just one's tryin out for the All Americans. Anyway seriously, dont' be ashamed to ask questions. True ballers will take time to teach you.

You goto Carl's a lot? I'm going to be going a lot more because I'm supposed to be getting my Impulse back next week. I shot it once in 3 months because I sent it out for stuff to get done to it. Maybe I'll see you up there.
You know my cousin? Kevin Slaughter? On the factory team.

Carl doesn't have enough fields. He's too much into speedball, and doesn't complement his fields for any woods ball. The fields he does have are way too small and falling apart.
I used to love his store, but things there just seem to be going downhill. I suppose the internet is totally cutting into his store business vs. the money his field brings in. He still had my business though! Support the local stores!

Yea, Bola and i played there last summer for a birthday party for his ex's little brother. We dominated to say the least, but the hyperball field was about the size of my pool, which is pretty sad. They really need more fields that are built with more brain power and less half assing.
