Just something that should probably be added to the review; the RPM has a rocking trigger, which isn't legal in most tournaments.

Mine didn't come with a rocking trigger, only spyder guns have rocking triggers..... It has a simple blade trigger... It might possiblely have a sweet spot but I havn't found one. I'm pretty sure this gun is NPPL leagel.

They make the T-board. And pretty much nothing else.

I researched this gun pretty hard before I found a deal on an Ion. I've never heard of it having a rocking trigger. I could be wrong, but I'm just saying.

You need to get a better source of information.
1) All BB eyes pretty much perform the same. The circuit board logic using the eyes is far more important.
2) The stock feedneck is better, but the trigger... not really. Perhaps more durable...? Stock Ion triggers are pretty good.
3) The RPM does indeed have a reg, it's just a fore-grip, vertical style that you're familiar with. It's built into the on/off.
4) Stock barrel sucks on both.
5) More upgrades is correct.

No it doesn't. And rocking triggers were supposedly made legal for all the big league tournaments, although I haven't bothered to confirm this rumor.

What it's capped at has nothing to do with what trigger frame it has. Kingman wasn't the first to come out with the rocking trigger idea, other versions have been made, but not really in mass production like Kingmans version.
Get the Ion.

The RPM accually has a faster stock trigger, most people would call that a "better" trigger. I know this becouse I've shot both guns side by side and the RPM triggers is way easyer to walk then a stock Ion's trigger.
pballa12 was only wrong about the RPM not having a reg becouse the RPM has a Regulator!!!!!!

O yea and just to let you know, this RPM is one tuff little gun. It runs on C02 at higher pressures then Compressed air (oviously) but I wasn't paying attention one time when i hooked up the C02 and i shot a couple of shots when it was at 500+ psi!!! I was a little worried but then I turned it down and shot an entire case of paint out of it during the day.

If you take out the magnet an ion on the stock trigger it rips.
My Ion handled co2 just fine.
Tough? I've seen Ions spiked against the ground on purpose, and they worked fine.
Ion ftw.

For how long did your Ion handle C02?? I give it less then 4000 paintballs and the silinoid is done for. Ions aren't made to run on C02, RPM is.
O wait you probbly can't shot 4000 balls through it becouse of the extra $150 you have to spend on the ION.

You really need to stop trying to get in a flame fight with me. You don't want that.
There is a reason that the Ion is popular and the RPM is not.

One reason why I don't wanna Ion is because 2 of the people on our team have ions and there always working on them and half the time they have to borrow somone elses gun cause there Ions f up.

They need to learn how to not F* them up. Every Ion that I've seen owned by someone who knew how to take care of them worked perfectly fine.
Anyways, I really don't care what gun you choose, I don't know why I'm still posting in here. Have fun with your RPM...

Honestly i'm not tring to start a flame, I'm just stating the facts about the 2 guns. I personally feel that I have a little more knowlege about the 2 guns then you. I'm just stating my opinon and I'm not tring to take any shoots at you, becouse is true that the Ion wasn't made for C02 and the RPM was.
Also one reason the Ion has been more popular is becouse its been out for a while now and the RPM just came out what.... this past fall???
And i'm not tring to bash the Ion here, but i have a freind who got one and it didn't work straight out of the box......

Fair enough.
I still disagree, but you're arguement is logical. I can understand why you believe the RPM to be a bit better.

i've been researching the rpm and i was basically on the verge to buying one....but i found a better deal on an ion...w/ other stuff i wanted.
on paper they seemed to be pretty equal...but i really wanted the rpm for the fact that:
- i don't need a foregrip
- rpm seems WAAY easier to pull the bolt out and clean through the body.
- i wasn't going to upgrade
- and ion body was ugly to me
...again this is just my initial view...for woodsball neither seemed very appealing...
but im pretty sure i'll be jus fine w/ an ion.

well a RPM can be made to have a foregrip, you can also put a lpr from a diablo wrath on an RPM, and secnariodreams is coming out with a t-board soon for the RPM.
