Whats a good pistol!?

Hey there I been looking at two pistols. And so far I only got 3 reviews on one of them... The Delta .68, one review I did not like was it said something about the CO2 cartridge release catches on things. Realeasing all the C02. Now the other gun was the ZEUS G2 Plus. But there wasn't any reviews I could find on the gun, please help.

Honestly, pistols aren't really worth spending any money on.

If I were you, I'd look into a pump gun ahead of a pistol. They're not accurate, they're not fast, they can only carry a few balls at a time, etc. They're normally only used by heavy scenario players anyway.

If I HAD to pick one though, I'd look for the Orion. Or Anion. Something like that. It ended with -ion.
(Not a Smart Parts Ion. Thats a whole different thing)

I just bought a Tiberius 8 today. It has seen a little action so far. I took it out in the woods late this evening along with my mask, tubes, spare mag + holster, and leg holster. The first thing I did was run up the hill with the pistol in the leg holster. Very comfortable. I made it further up the hill than usual before getting tired which makes sense since I wasn't carrying a full blown marker complete with CO2 tank and 200 paintballs. I'm sure the stock doesn't help weight either.

Regardless, I wanted to shoot the pistol, reload it, fire it on the run, reload it on the run, and reload balls in the mag while moving. I wasn't annoyed by any of these tasks. Sticking my hand in the tube to grab balls was about it which I chose to avoid the dumping method. I may change my technique in a more frantic time.

The pistol was accurate, the reload was a breeze, and the CO2 lasted for 2 and a half clips on each magazine. I didn't count the remaining balls on the third clip but I'm guessing I got twenty rounds per CO2 cart. That would vary depending on a few factors though. One being how quickly you tighten the screw for the CO2 tank between the puncturing and locking stages. The other would be not firing ball-less shots. I'm sure I did at least once per clip.

I like this pistol so far and I can't wait to use it in battle. Some people avoid the Tiberius 8 because of price but it has the two factors I wouldn't want to go without: .68 cal balls and magazine fed.

Pistols are a niche marker, but they definitely have their place in outdoor fields. A close-mid ranged shot where you want to expose as little of a target as possible? A pistol will give you that option as it doesn't have a hopper. I've also used it to suppress a second target while advancing on a first.

Finally, they're a good bunkering tool as you can reach around and get that shot off without fumbling with the weight and bulk of a normal marker.

I have a Zeus G1+, which has served me extremely well. After tuning the springs I get about 18-20 shots from a 12g at ~270 fps which isn't bad for a blowback. I've heard great things about the Tiberius 8 as well, but I'm turned off at the concept of the clips -- too much money for what really boils down to a novelty loading system. I prefer feeding mine with 10-round tubes, so with a mere inexpensive wrist harness I have the option of having up to 50 pistol shots if I need them in a big game.

...keep in mind I run a pump as my main marker, though. The firepower a compact one-handed semi offers is a lot more valuable to me.

the old splatmasters where pretty cool, i want to get a pistol, but personally havnt tryed one, you dont see them very often, they tend to use 12g c02 but some people use a remote, and they usually use 10 round pods or tubes that are in a tub on top of the firing chamber, the c02 usually fits in the handle, all in all the seem pretty cool, just not highly used

you may see them most in a scenario
