BT-4 Assault Accuracy and Distance

Hey All,

I just purchased a BT-4 Assault marker and used it for the first time yesterday. I have to say that, while it looks cool and definately got compliments, I was disappointed with the distance it was shooting. The paintballs probably went 40-50 feet before they hit the ground, and this is if I was aiming parallel to the ground. I turned up the air pressure and was gauged at around 260 to 280 fps and got it a little farther but they would still fall to the ground quite fast.

I'm just using field paint, Diablo Heat, which I've used before without any problems on my other marker. I'm not sure what the size of the paint was but I'm assuming that's probably the problem, but does anyone have any other suggestions? Also, does anyone have any suggestions as to what barrel I may have to get that has a smaller bore size but still works with the BT-4 Assault marker?

I'm just using stock everything right now, no remote coil (even though I plan on getting one for the future), and a 48cu 3000psi Pure Energy HPA tank.

Thanks for your help in advance.
