I have to argue that with you. I got the PTX Jr, when they 1st switched over fromthe PtX to the PTx Jr.
As my 1st marker, I though most of my problems were cause of my ignorance, though through talking to people and learning, I found out that the marker just sucked or I got a really bad batch.
1st: The cup seal was bad from the beginning, so I got a black magic.
2nd: Got an leak in the valve, so I got a new value and used the black magic again.
3rd: 12g retainer plug o-ring would ALWAYS swell if you keeped it charged longer then 30 mins. O-ring was an odd size and only could get parts from NPS.
4th: Learned that o-ring was only to keep the plug from "wiggling" out and not to seal the chamber. So now I have a needle valve o-ring leak. (before the plug o-ring was keeping it sealed)
5th: Finally said screw it and sent the whole thing into NPS and have them repair it and test it. Three weeks later after I shipped it (USPS 2-3 day), I get it back and so far works fine.
Bottom Line: I spent 2 months, 2 Valves, countless o-rings, and 2 black magic cup seals, 2 repair kits (which they dont have for the JR only the older PtX and not all the part work) on the marker.
If you can get one less the $50 then go for it, but if you want a good marker pistol then go Zeus G1. If you want something you can upgrade and tinker with go with the Zeus G2. I have the Zeus G2 Elite Limited, and never had any problems with it other then a low 12g shot count (14-18 shots, where I was getting 25-30 with the PtX Jr.) But I dont have a Chrono, so I cant attest to the FPS difference between the 2 pistols.
