no, it is not a good starter gun, let a lone a good gun at all.
it is not better then a TES, the one, or an autococker. It is basically an overhyped and overpriced spyder in the price range of electro-pnuematics and cockers.

The TES is a good, solid, affordable, gun and would recomend it over any electronic spyder. however, the TES doesnt meet its claims of 20bps.

The autococker is a reliable, consistent, low-kick gun. But, you might not be able to do all the matnience yourself(unless you have allen wrenches for fingers, timing-which is needed infrequently- could be a problem even if most stores will do it for cheap).

The One is overpriced since it is basically the same as cheaper Dragun Empire models.

I would also look at the:

-The BKO from Indian Creek Designs is an amazingly fast(for the price range) marker. It suffers some problems from unreliability and customer service, but it is still-by far-the fastest marker in this price range.

-A used Vision Impulse from Smart Parts is a good compromise between the raw speed of the BKO and the quality of the Cocker. The impulse(or impy as its comonly called) is very easy to clean and is reliable. it also boasts a true speed of 20bps. You will need to save uup a little more for this but your money will not be wasted. Check the PBN and PBF B/S/T forums frequently and you will find a good deal eventually.

Of course, it goes without saying that any of these markers(with the exception of the TES, the ravens, and maybe the one) will need HPA to run. I would stay away from 3A tanks and, if your on a budget, get a 3000PSI either fiber wrapped(lighter) or aluminum(cheaper, around $80).

also, for a cocker you will need a VL Revolution and for everything else you will want either a Z-boarded VL Evolution II or a Halo B(the halo is highely recomended if yu can afford it).
