VL Orion gun problem

something is wrong with my gun. im a noob btw. no matter how low i adjust the velocity, it shoots out too much CO2 air and the ball swirls, but there are no air leaks in anywhere in the gun. somehow it just has too much pressure when i shoot a paintball. can anyone help me, thanks.

ok try to lighten your spring maybe get better paint or check all your internals make sure they are all ok and oiled right the, then turn the velocity down to adjust, if you cant fix it take it to a shop they can and would be able to in perwson its hard to tell you whats wrong its notin my hands

also post in the right section, i know you're a noob but just look, we have a gun tech section, actually several. go to the one that deals with your type of gun(stacked tube blowback)

I'm taking that swirling means the balls curve instead of flying straight.

Anyway, are you sure it has a velocity problem? Fire it over a chronograph and be sure. Any field will have a chrono.

I think the effect is just from your paint size against the barrel diameter.

Could be your co2 acting up, or bad paint, or a mix of those and other factors.

yeah im pretty sure thats it, because guess what type of gun i have.... an ORION!!! WHOO HOOOO!!!!!!! NOT!!!!!

They are powerful, but they swerve like crazy if you dont get the correct paint size, i think the bore size of the barrel is .689, im pretty sure anywyas. So i would suggest you use these things i use for pracxtice with my friends and they dont swerve but go to www.zappaintball.com and click on paintballs and what i use is the rec ball series for practice/recreational is what i think it says.

But anyways, i think the only problem is your paint match to the barrel, its probably way off. Just try to get some 0.689 caliber piantballs.

Anything smaller, and you will never hit your target, just letting you know ahead of time, trust me.

And about the air release problem, I think that orions just suk liek that. they use a heck of a lot more air then they should, so you will probably be better off getting a 14 ounce tank to last you a couple of games.

And let me guess....did you buy this from...hmmm...lets say..... WAL-MART?!?!?!?!?!?!?! -.- Wal mart suks for paintball stuff.

NEVER BUY PAINT FROM WAL MART!!!!!!

its not the barrel or the paint. ive shot about 1000 rnds in it before it started acting up. no matter how i adjust the velocity and clean the gun, its always at high velocity when shooting, and makes the ball swerve. yes i did buy it at walmart for 50 bucks. i like my spyder better. This isn't in the right section but whatever.

Since it is cold out the CO2 will act up and turn to liquid which will mess up your internals and make your gun turn to crap.

Get your co2 anti-siphoned. Use winter paint. Get a new gun.

If you mean your velocity is always too high I'd cut a little bit off the spring.
