you obviously have not seen some of the custom and advantage chips. they are all but impossible to catch

Yeah, a buddy of mine is incorporated with www.reklezpb.com and you would be amazed if you knew what half of those boards/chip could do.

if you look at vids from the 2001 world cup and the 2004 cup the 04 cup is more "attractive" than the 01: faster pace, faster guns.....i guess people like to watch spray and pray lol

I'm cool with ramping where its legal, but I hate seeing it on the fields with walkons and stuff. And if you choose to admit it or not it does give you an advantage. To me its like wiping in recball, its no tourny, theres nothing on the line, theres nothing to gain and a lot of respect to lose. If you're just doing it to hit noobs or legit players then thats ****ed up.

I'm hella glad my field owner is a semi only person, he hates bounce ramping, everything.

dave i agree with you... i dont think people should ramp or use modes in rec, unless everyone agrees on it

Definitely. If everyone is cool about it then it shouldn't matter.

I have to say though, I am a little biased, I played recball with 4 rentals and spyders and stuff that sucked, against 5 people with DMs egos and timmys. Needless to say they were wiping and ramping all over the place. It really makes me think, if they weren't doing all their BS would they have lost? Is it all in what is between the microswitch and the noid? I mean it was 4 rentals/noobs and one agg pimpmeister with a pimptastic muppet mower. They weren't even close to as aggressive as they should've been. It was sad almost.

Yeah the dickhead refs wouldn't let me play with my group so it was 5 of us, me and 4 guys with camo and tippmanns, and then it was the other team with shockers n shiznit. My team got raped, 2 got out off the break, other 2 got out like 40 secs later, so I said screw it and ran to the 50 and bunkered someone at Doritio and then someone was laning and I ran into it.

This w/e though me and a friend were playing recball after practice for a little bit just to have some fun, the guns were still in locked mode so they had the 15 bps cap, forgot allen wrench to take apart the grip frame to short out the two pins so we could put them into a semi only mode. Some of these Spyder/Tippman guys started complaing b/c we kept beating them for 8 straight games, so we actually switch guns with them, and the PSP mode didn't help them at all, they still lost every game as well, and they still got shot just as much as with the Timmy in ramp mode, since I stop shooting when they are hit.

Legal ramping doesn't add any skill to the player.

ill say it again, i usually dont ramp, cause i cant afford sprayin more then 2 cases a day....but im perfectly fine with people ramping, it doesnt make them anymore accurate....the only difference is that i might get bonus balled...big whoop

it takes absolutly no skill and is pointless
if you cant get someone out with out using ramping then why play at all
i takes most of the challange out of paintball

Its pointless? If it was pointless how come companies like Advantage are making thousands?

No skill? You still have to have good form and be able to aim correctly. I can shoot 15 BPS on semi, so I take it i'm cheating.

It takes most of the challenge away? Hell it makes it harder. More balls in the air faster will make it harder to get through lanes.

So from your opinions the conclusion I'm making is this:

Dynasty, Infamous, Russian Legion, and most other tournament teams have no skill?

Please insert $1 and try again.

Overall the term "ramp" is a pretty general topic to be discussing. A more debatable topic would be something like "ramping in the PSP" or "ramping in rec ball."

it takes most of the challange out of paintball? wow, u must realy, really suck if you think shooting fast is the most challanging aspect of paintball. its probably the least challanging aspect. you lose, now go to the field and get ur ass lit up somemore and blame it on ramping.

Just close the damn thread about 90% of the people in here don't know the facts and flame it. It's fun to see them get owned though.
