Edited my post...the Matrix/DM4 team finished the tournament ranked 11th, I'm not sure what their ranking was before Saturday.

I don't like it cause i'd rather do the work to shoot fast not the board.

Don't give me crap about how it levels the playing field because that's like saying that widening the basketball hoop, making the golf hole bigger, shortening the distance to homerun range is making the sport better. MAKING A SHALLOWER LEARNING CURVE IS NOT PROGRESS. If anything, it shows the sport is dominated by a bunch of pansies who can only back up their smack-talk when they have a cheater board. I don't give a crap if people can't shoot faster than 10 BPS, that's their problem and the sport shouldn't cater to them. If you feel that your ego is hurt because you can't shoot as fast as everyone else, this is not the sport for you.

As for shooting fast, I guess your fingers suck or something. Its not unfair for someone to be naturally talented, uneven yes, but they work to improve their skill not pay money for chips and boards.

Has any1 noticed that pbpro115 is always making stupid and pointless threads that have beatin around the bush one to many times.

I E-dissaprove of you pbpro115--- and yet yesterday u talked about a kid with a dm4 going onto a noob field that isnt fair well now take into consideration a timmy etc ramping against a mech cocker not fair so just cut your fingers off so u stop the pointless threads.

I think the 15 BPS ramping is great. Since the majority of people had ramping software anyway, at least this helps keep the BPS to a reasonable level and still allow people to be able to make moves ect.

And no unlike what someone said the PSP mode is 1-2-3-full auto you still have to pull the trigger, it just ramps up to the cap.

what? its 1-2-3 and then it starts to hit up to full auto at 15 bps.

I am personally againest ramping and if people say it evens the playing field I find that stupid. Why? Because sports are based on talents and skills and such. If you can shoot naturally faster than your have a skill that makes you better. If someone can run faster in football they don't weigh him down to "level the playing field". People can work on their fingers and actually make them faster if they try hard enough.

Speedball is called speedball for a reason, the cocker kid knows what hes gettin into, HOWEVER, a Begginer Walk-On group does not expect to be lookin down the barrel of a DM4, i (as a begginer, long ago) expected to see Tippys, Spyders, Rentals, Ect.

people design ramping boards to pass the robots. i think they figure if they allow it but limit it will at at least cut down on most of the people trying to get passed the robots.

u kno, people have the option of gettin a ramping board, at cost too, a tboard that ramps goes for $80 now-a-days, besides, us rampers are at disadvantage too, Look here, i have a shocker 2k4, ramps from 7-20+ bps with ease, but, im outta paint within a minute of the game (depending on position) so, i either have to carry MORE paint on the feild, OR ration my paint.

Yeah I see there point there but its just so easy now when shooting your gun...you could superman and be doing 15 bps but oh well. I just hope NPPL stays nonramping

I think paintball is the only sport where this sort of thing is supported and even thought to be awesome.

In any other sport everyone is held to the same level. If you can naturally run faster or hit harder than you are the in-demand player. In paintball it seems that the bar is just lowered to the common level. Granted the high end is cut off with bps caps, but the point still stands.

No the NXL goes full auto after the 3rd shot as long as you hold the trigger down until you release it for 1 second then you have to pull 3 semi-auto shots before it goes full auto

The PSP Ramp after the third shot as long as you continue to keep pulling the trigger it ramps what you pull up tp the 15 BPS cap. If you stop shooting for a second though you have to pull the next 3 in semi-auto before the ramping kicks in

Keep it to the tourneys where everyone else has it. But when your going up against an AIR mag or tippy that can't put out more then 6bps steady adn your shooting ropes in the woods, take a look back and notice how unfair it is.
