I agree it doesn't belong in Recball, I put my gun in true semi if I am playing rec, yet I can still hit 15 bps, however in a tourney enviorment, the "cheater boards" are so commonplace that by havi9ng a 15 BPS ramp cap they are helping to level the playing field, and I don't mean as some people are saying by leveling it based on skill, it levels it so that the few honest people are not at a major disadvantage because cheating is so common.

what sucks is that all the mouse walking walking my gun etc has gone down the drain when some kid can press the trigger 5 times which requires no skill at all.

Ramping isn't going to make them move any better, play tighter, or be more accurate in their shooting.

i think it helps to actually have a rampin board before u say u hate it....it comes across as jeoulousy(sp)

Psp ramping is 1,2,3, ramp to 15. You still have to pull the trigger.
NXL is 1,2,3 full auto.

Plus think about it this way the board acts as a govenor to cap the fastest a gun can shoot (15BPS) how is that so far off from some things in other sports? Like the restrictor plates in NASCAR to lower the HP and make the cars slower and equal so it comes down to driver skill not who has the most $$$ to get the HP advantage.

I dont give a damn about all the politics because ramping, for now, is part of the game. Either use it and stay ahead of the pack, or dont and fall behind. Your decission.

And for those of you who are anti-ramping have probably never shot a decent marker. Shooting insanely fast is fun as hell.

u say what i try to say....and dont get flamed

tippmans have the flatline, no ones complains, BUT ONLY tippys can use them, ramping is more universal, and bout the same price for most of us

OKay I got the first part right anyways.

ramp is for n00bs, if your goign to shoot full auto, then just do it. I've done it with my mag (in speedball games adn such) but I'd never think about it in the woods. In fact I'm starting to go back to my roots specificly so I can shoot less paint and save $.

I would be fine with strictly semi only and no ramp, IF cheater boards were not so commonplace that a majority of people are using them. However these computer/code knowlegable people have very good programs that are undetectable, so because of that IMO everyone should be on equal footing to negate the cheating.

I would agree with that statement if cleats were computer controlled and people were putting hidden "turbo" modes into some cleats, otherwise that analogy is a poor choice.

No. Chrome puts across a mostly decent post. All you did was start a 3 page flame fest by comparing ramping to some virgin.

IT TAKES SKILL OUT OF THE GAME. By making the learning curve shallower, sure, everyone can SHOOT like a pro (280934 BPS) but doesn't have to work for it.

There's a thing called PRACTICE that's designed to make it so you work on your individual skills and talent, and over time you improve. If you have an electronic circuit board do the hard work you're too much of a wuss to do yourself, then you have no room to talk.
