From what I read the price of $1700 is about right since it is supposed to be a more limited edition of the DM, but for some reason (maybe wishful thinking) a lot of people had some idea that it was supposed to be a low-priced gun. I wonder if it will be much lighter because if it is it could be just about perfect since that is the biggest downfall of the DM series IMO.

i never had a bubble, i am the notorious non-worthwhile thread starter... so i figured.. HEY! chromekilla already posted it so i will too
but really.. 1700?! thats and insane amount of money to spend on a "paintball launching machine." composite materials seem to have become the material of choice now that sp showed that its not crappy..

But it isn't a "plastic gun" like the SP Ion. From everything I have heard when they call it Composite it is because it uses different materials so it is not all Aluminum, not sure how valid the source was but he is usually pretty good about getting info about stuff, but he says they are even going to be several parts that are made of Titanium to reduce weight while having good strength, and Ti is not cheap.

Yeah truthfully if the could get a DM's weight down I defintely think I would pick it up, since that is one of the biggest disadvantages IMO to the DM line, if for extra few hundred bucks you can get a lightweigth DM I think that would be great.

It's not going to be half composite like the Ion, it'll have composite "highlights" and that is most likely all.

So they make a gun that costs more than the dm4. and ppl say its going to compete with the ion.
the only guns relative to the ion out now are the trilogies and ion.

Dye has not given out any real word about the DMC. All rumors about DMC were either false or misguided. DO NOT TAKE WHAT YOU READ HERE FOR TRUTH. Is basically it. On the official Matrix Forums, DMC Threads have been banned, and they should be here, with the exception of one thread, the one pbfosho had posted.
Nobody knows the price point, only speculation. Nobody knows the composition of the composite, only speculation. Nobody knows the real reason behind this gun, only speculation.
Don't believe that stuff you read on 68caliber's rumor's reel. He bases his speculation off of PBN threads, or so I speculate.
To OP (original poster), old news, search next time fool. esp when threads are on the SAME PAGE. NOT NEW NEWS EITHER WE HAVE SEEN FCP'S SITE!
