i play woodsball and i try to sneak up on my opponets, usually on my knees...but i guess i dont like the term sniper used because it just seems ignorant to me.
Ive heard peeps talk about getting a 21" barrel in order to "hide on one side of the field and take everyone out". Ive played w/ this one kid who constantly runs and hides so he cans "snipe" our team, but he usually gets snuck up on and marked.
sniping is a good term to describe some woodsball techniques but not all of them.

No./ How abotu we clal it paintballing?
Yesterday me and a small team flanked through a swamp where the other team would never expect us to go. We got up a defensive position and just waited for people to come by. I saw someone about 30 yards down. I checked my hopper and I only had what was in my feedneck. I told the guys next to me "I'm taking this shot", and let rip. Mised the first three, but nailed him in the back of the head on the last.
He looked around and didn't know what the **** hit him. He didnt even see us after the fact. Was that sniping? Nope. I wasn't wearing a $60 ghillie suit. ACtually I was wearing my red empire pants and a camo jacket. WAs I using a flatlined tippmann with a stock? Nope.. Just a slow, hevy blender automag.
Call it playing paintball.

Because:
#1 Lots of people have to argue about "snipers" in paintball.
#2 Because "sniping" (or stealthing, or whatever you want to call it) is a skill used by bushball/scenario players but NEVER used/neded by speedballers. |

Thats how it really is in paintball "sniping" its pretty much the most effective way to get people out when you play woodsball.

i agree with that statement.
but it is annoying to my when you have players who call themselves a "sniper" run and hide somewhere totally random and hide instead of playing.
stealth can be utalized without running and hiding.
