is it just me that hates them?

seriously every damn time you wanna disassemble your gun you gotta take the uni off. i hate unis with a passion. you got to take the stupid fitting off then lets not forget you got to loosen the screws then slide it out and then take the cage screws off. Plus, unis are a ***** to turn on and off.

Rails > Unis

disassemlbe... psh loosen ONE screw, well 3 in my case

choose your on/off, easy to use

just my rant <3

That's why there is the unimount2.

I prefer the new CP stuff though.

pft it doesnt take that long to do it...5 minutes max.
though i do agree they are a ditch to turn on/off.
theyre still a lot better then anything else out there excluding rails(duckbills, drops, ect are all much worse).

its not being lazy for anything but if im in a rush i get the thing all scratced up and i think rails and asa is more comfortable to. I love my cp rail and my system x on/off is alright

I just ordered one from my shop, should I still get it or go with a rail. In your opion i mean if they are really that much of a pain why bother?

the CP rails and on/offs are really nice, get that. they are reall easy to turn on and off.

I dont have to take my unimount off that much......what are you doin to your gun that you would need to take it off so much? And what is the difference in a unimount2

the new unimounts from checkit arent too bad. i hate mine old checkit now i have a cp 2k5 direct mount its awesome would suck if i had a timmy and a big tank (sticks out like an inch off the back) but works perfect with my gun.

check it unimounts are ok but I think rails are better.

i dont get it. you just have to turn a knob to turn the uni on and off how is it hard?

No like it's hard to turn it and it kinda hurts your fingers.

and when you have to take it off it takes forever because you have to take off the air fitting and then unscrew 4 screws so lets say your bottomline screws are coming loose for some reason, you have to sit out a couple games. my opinion

they're not that bad.

Coincidentially I'll trade my uni for an on/off dovetail ASA, you pay shipping (I just have an extra CP microdrop lying around)
