Scuba Tanks...

How much would a scuba tank for nitro...cost and how many fills would I get out of it? We just bought a 5 man paintball course for my "farm" off of xpaintball and now we need to get a scuba tank so we dont have to drive an 45 min to get it filled =P.

How much would one cost, how many fills would we get (need to know if we need 2) and where could I find one?

Thanks

Ebay is always a good source, but only if the item is close enough for a pickup.
Otherwise, plenty of places sell them from Scuba, to Welding, and Soda bottlers. Look in the phone book under "compressed gasses" or "industrial gasses".

Some places will RENT bulk tanks pre-filled. Welding places often sell them cheap, because the same tanks used for argon can also be used for HPA (depending on the rating).

Now for the problem: You will only get ONE "full fill". After that, the pressure slowely drops in the scuba tank, so every fill also drops in pressure.

Fields solve this problem by cascading a series of 3 or 4 bulk tanks, but for you will just have to live with the problem.

A new scuba tank would run you about $130 maybe more. They can only be filled up to 3000psi. I have a standard 80 cubic foot tank. For two people running a 98c and an A-5 we would use about 2000psi out of the tank for about 4-5 hrs of speedball. You should try looking at getting some big oxygen & acedelyne tanks that some farmers use for welding. Some companies rent them out for a small fee. Or if everyone is willing to chip in some money, you could probably buy one or two.
