5 g switch explanation.

I'm wondering exactly how the 5 gram switch theory works. I've found Really light, probably less than 5 gram switches at radio shack, but i'm not exactly sure what the point of those are. If someone could explain it, it would help a lot.

The switch is what triggers your marker to fire. So the lighter the switch, the easier it is to fire your marker. With a 5g switch you have to put 5 grams of pressure on it for it to fire. Be careful though, because the lighter you get, the more chance there is you will have bounce.

I;m not sure if there are others you can use in a marker, but I'm sure sombody around here will know. But if you go with somthing lighter than 5g you will have bounce like CRAZY. Even with 5g switches most people have problems with bounce.

I used the Lever switch in the 5g switch mod from the Spyder section in a couple Spyders now. It is more than 5g once you figure the trigger spring or magnets. The lever is what makes the switch feel lighter. If you cut it shorter or take it off, the switch will be stiffer as well.

The one with the lexan trigger used to have a roller. I cut it off because it got in the way of my stops.

I...Wired it.

Seriously. Unsolder the wires from the stock switch, solder them onto the new switch (in the right position) and put the frame back together. You shouldn't have to do anything to the board, aside from poke some of the wires out of the way.

I don't understand. Spyder switches are not attached directly to the board. They are held into the grip frame with two pins. The new switches are the same size, same mounting holes, so they just go in the place the stock one was.

u are going to make ur own board to opperate the gun?? ... ****ing gl on that one man. 1st u'll need to get a electrical engienering degree and then a machine to make the thing. THEN u'll need a computer science degree so u can figure out just how the hell u can program the board.

And torch did not make a board. He bought a switch, sodered it to the harness, and mounted it in the gun.

They're stock boards. I thought this was all about 5g switches...I seem to have missed something crucial.
