That's pretty interesting. I think one of the most common misconceptions about paintball is that it's just a kid sport in which kids only get guns to shoot at cars driving by. If you play right it is very safe. I wonder how much safer it is than football...
Great post!

140000 balls per tournament is 70 cases per tournament.

140000 balls per tournament /4 matches per tournament =35000 balls per match

each match has about 20 games per match in a fairly average match

35000 balls per match / 20=1750

there are 5 players per game...in every game...

1750 balls per game / 5 players in a game (usually) = 350 balls

that sounds about right...front players may just use a hopper while back players may use a hopper and 3 pods...of course, the number of balls per player would go up if a player was in the penalty box or if the number of games played were fewer...but again this is just on the data we have.

final answer= xball is expensive

Yea, I would have to agree about hockey being mainstream. If you asked someone what the NHL was, they would be more likely to answer that than NPPL.

I remember Medic made a post about a PB2X article and it was put directly in PB Chat. But if It really is in the incorrect location, my bad.
