Ok I'm not saying I don't agree with, or won't abide by the rules laid down for this forum.
Mostly i'm talking about the one that says "Please do not post links for online paintball equipment retailers other then www.xpaintball.com, as this forum is owned and operated by www.xpaintball.com."

But when someone does it and you guys say "read the rules, idiot"
Come the **** on, how many of you who are saying that actually read the rules and knew not to do that? You probably didn't find out until you did it or saw someone else get harrased for it.

AGAIN, i'm not saying i don't like the rules, but this forum has a lot of bandwagoners and as soon as someone breaks that rule their reply is "read the rules, noob" followed by 15 others stating the same thing. Post whores and immature children is the only explanation I can think of for this one.

ONCE AGAIN.. I completely agree with the rules but how many of you actually read them before making your first post? I still don't think i've even looked at them, but i know what's allowed and what's not because i've been here for some time now.

Ohh, and why is it that so many people make pointless posts? (I realize this entire thread is pointless, but i'm venting)
My definition of a pointless post is someone who has no/very little knowledge about markers, air systems, hoppers etc, or just wants to up there post count so they can get better at paintball.
All these guys do is restate the same thing the person above them said?

I was seriously thinking about making one of these because of all the newbs arguing with the mods like Onesikpup about closing their threads. But i was thinking, well i dont want to be banned because its their fault that they didnt read the rules.

The reason why "read the rules" is a valid reason is because when EVERY SINGLE USER registered they were "required" to read the rules.

Sure, you probably didn't read the fine print- hardly anyone does. But by clicking "Accept", you are saying you will follow the rules of the forum and accept that your membership here is a PRIVELEDGE, not a free gift.

Someday if you ever become a mod and have to shuffle everyone's crap around to the right place, maybe you'll understand why we stress it so much. It makes our job as staff easier, which means we spend more time on forum improvements, addressing user concerns, and the like.

i agree hehaw. There are a lot of kids on here that love to jump on the READ the Rules bandwagon. they just love to say that and watch there other lame little friends say stupid stuff like "owned you noob" and all of that computer talk crap

First off, as I said three times above, I agree with the rules and will abide by them, this is not a problem. I understand bandwith and site hosting doesn't grow on trees. But the people who aren't mods are very eager to find these posts and reply back with a mean "read the rules, morron" Like the person that posted the link should know or something. Maybe they should since you are *supposed* to read the rules..
Second, you're right, I didn't read the rules, but how many of us actually did, honestly?
Third, I am a mod on a Car audio forum. www.Realcaraudio.com I didn't even read the rules there, because I know whats allowed and what's not allowed.
No racism, cursing, flaming, etc... This no link posting rule is a random one that people aren't expecting so thats why it gets broken so much.

If forums have rules they are like the terms or privacy policies you have to read before downloading or installing something, I bet no one has ever read and completely understood one of those.

In short my point is most people know the general rules before coming here and posting. (racism, cursing, flaming and so on are not permitted) So they don't feel obligated to take 20 mins of their life and read all the rules. I'm not saying they shouldn't have to read the rules, but how many of you actually did?
