so true... losing is like the worst thing in the world. it sucks when you lose and makes you feel crappy.... when you win, it feels so great

yeah i pretty much agree 100% with that article. winning is everything to me when i play a sport. i cant stand losing. back when i started playing hockey on a team i sucked. playing street and playing ice is like day and night. so i started practicing 10 hours a week for pretty much 3 months straight and got a lot better and started winning. and theres no better feeling in the world than winning.

The sad thing is most of these people hating on him probably shoot their little tippmanns and spyders, when the author of this article is playing for FREE on an NXL team. Maybe if you guys would shut up about "It's all about fun" and "Sportsmanship is everything" you would actually get somewhere in paintball.

Walking onto the feild if we are playing a noob team I talk to them and tell them to have fun and **** like that, then as soon as I am standing at the dead box, I wanna burn down their house and torture their family. I hate them. All I wanna do is put 8 balls through their head.
As soon as I come off the feild, All I say is good game guys. Then I go about my normal day.

well theres a difference between being a pro and winning. being a pro means winning because you need to. winning in general is just doing it to have fun. plenty of people can play with tippmanns and spyders and have fun trying to win. to say that they are stupid for not trying to become pro is ignorant.

Wow...same for anything else that puts you against someone else or another team. Stunning. I didn't even have to write an entire article about being an ass to get that across.

Very true it was wayy to cocky and that guy could have gotten the point across without being an ass.

I didn't say they shouldn't have fun trying to win. I said they shouldn't be so quick to criticize this pro who is playing for free, while they are still stuck in the stages of being a good sport. You can argue with me but I'm not changing my mind.

There is no fun in loosing. At all. I have that mindset of wanting to completely obliterate someone, playing with an ak and literally shooting the other team in the face. Anything and everything to hate them completely, and just wreak havoc as soon as that ref yells go, and not stop till the flag is hung.

Okay let me get this straight, first we bash woodsball because of the "wannabe GI joe" image it gives paintball, and try to make speedball the face of paintball.
Now an article like this comes out, and everyone supports it. Imagine the aggressive image this gives noobs, and even parents whose kids want to play. Although this may be true in Pro level tournaments, is this really the image we want to portray?

well most people that visit paintballstar and read their articles are tournament players, so its being protrayed to the right audience.
off the field you can be a players best friend, but when they are at the other end of the field, you have to hate them. you gotta say "they dont deserve to be on this field, this is my field, my game, not theirs, they dont deserve to play on it, and they dont deserve to live"... and then you go out and wreck havoc shooting everyone in the face. and then you walk off the field and you are the godfather of their kid and you go to dennys with them and are best buddies.

What happens when the bunkers are red and no one else is wearing it? Do they forfiet?
Also just to let you know my goal in any paintball game is to make the other guys on the other team feel like they shouldnt even play, that the moment i go out there, they might as well pack it up. The games are over and they might as well shoot themselves in the foot when the countdown is done.

I agree with everything the guy in the article says, except for the part "I hate paintball when I'm losing". Sure losing sucks ass, and winnings the best feeling in the world, but I could win in baseball or soccer or some other sport, but i choose paintball, because I like it the most.
I guess Its true, but I'd rather be losing some in paintball than winning in some sport I don't like.
