Paintball On the X-Games
Im watching the X-Games right now and just can't help but wonder what it would be like for Paintball to be in it. Do you think it would be cool or just totally lame to have paintball on the X-Games?

yet at tourneys you stand around and watch 
xball is the closest paintball can really get to a spectator sport though, i dont think that would make a bad show if they had games alternating so that the second one ends, another one on another field starts. they just need a blimp or something to get an overhead view. but keeping some up-close stuff would be nice too...
hey, if people can actually sit and watch baseball on tv (the most boring tv sport evar) then where is the problem with watching paintball on tv? |

Not a spectator sport my ass...
There are tons of people that go to paintball tournaments to watch. I wouldn't have gone to the Chicago Open to watch if it wasnt a spectator sport...
I would love to see paintball in the x-games.
and paintthecatBLUE...baseball isnt the most boring sport on TV....i am pretty sure golf beats baseball as the most boring sport to watch on TV.

there is no point of interest. In every other sport i can think of there is a ball or only a couple people playing. When you have 10+ people on the field at the same time it can be very confusing for someone without paintball experience to watch.
Watching a game from the stands is different because you can see more of the field at the same time then you can on tv.
Paintball simply doesnt look good on tv. Besides, it wouldnt fit in with the x-games anyway because it would be the only team sport. |
