I can easily see who the "wipers"/"rampers"/"fighters"/"cheaters" that posted in this thread are.

I can can also see the decline and fall of this sport (in north america anyway) comming up fast. The reason I see it comming is because when enough people WON'T take this crap as "part of the game" and leave the sport for good (like Tyger has done) the bubble will burst and that will be the end.

Don't believe me? Look at the tournament turnout numbers. (and even the turnout numbers for woodsball scenarios). The writing is on the wall folks.

I offer you the comments of Tom Kaye, one of the founders of modern paintball.

Their opinion is that paintball customers are BY FAR the worst. The other sports send them thank you letters, pictures when they win wearing their stuff and are more polite on the phone. They had never gotten anything from their sponsored paintball players.

Most of you don't have the history with the sport that Tyger and I have. We had great hopes that someday it would be an Olympic game, that it would be on TV and we would have major sponsors like Pepsi or Budweiser. We feel, from our perspective, that those dreams are not just dying but dead and gone. They have been replaced by some mutant form of the game we can't comprehend or see any benefit to being involved with.

Many of you will see todays paintball as a normal progression of a normal sport. I may well be, but this is not the direction we saw or hopped for years ago.

This is from someone, who untill recently, made his living from paintball...

Basically with so many old school players leaving theres no one to teach the new generation the tricks of the trade. So the new generation comes up with a new profound way of playing paintball and altering the way It Is.

But those of us that have been playing a while and are staying around should be teaching the newbies as they come up. Keeping the sport decent is falling to us, like it should. Now we just have to see if we can make it better out of the slum parts of it has become

Give it a few seasons. "Evolution", remember?

So, the high-level event will radar enforce the speeds. Most field won't spend or can't spend the money to set up and run that kind of system. Most people that play don't play at the said high class events. I can assure you it will be used.

...and if they are caught at our local field then they get their ass perma baned for life. Most field owners need to grow some balls and actually inforce the rules without worring about the "bottom line". If you post the pictures of a few people in your pro-shop that have been "PREMA-BANNED FOR LIFE" from your field then I bet that cheating would drop considerably.

Ya ya everybody says "then they will just go to another field and play" but if EVERY field owner grew balls and did this then the jerk cheater would run out of fields to play at.....

...eather that or stop cheating.

Eather way problem solved.
