What's your opinion?
What’s your opinion on the attitude of today’s current paintball players? Do you think the ego’s are getting out of hand?
(I’ll give my opinions on it later, I would just like to see what some of you guys think without being influences to think something different first.)

Ego.
Anyway... It is turning into a sport. Look at most professional athletes, there is your share of good guys, and cocky/out-of-hand guys.

I'm talking off the field, not during game time. Everyone pretty much agrees there are two different attitudes.
- On the field
- Off the field
There seems to be a blending of the two now.

Well I like it most of the time but sometimes players get out of hand. Like I hate it when fights break out, thats just stupid imo. Paintball should be a friendly sport on and off of the field. People that are cocky with big egos are like that all the time but its when they throw a punch it gets out of the line. Thats just my opinion. It's okay if you say "yeah I'm better than you are," or something but again, when theres a fight the teams become enemies instead of rivals.

Its a sport...and a lifestyle...those who do it...do it well...those who dont...watch from the deadbox. If you dont like the way real ballers play...dont step on the field with'em.

of course its a sport, people are going to have bad attitudes and such.....
But i personally feel that there is no need for that, but thats just me. Some people use their attitudes to "get in somebodys head". But personally, i like being the quiet guy that never talks smack and sends people to the deadbox.
basically, nothing wrong with thier attitudes, but i believe the sport would probably be better with out them.

It is this level of immaturity that is taking the fun out of the sport for me.

Ego's have there part in it... But a lot of it is just there normal attitude.
Paintball could be better but I really don't think it's that bad at all, overall.
You'll get your jerks in it sometimes and everything but thats about it.

I can understand it to a point but doing things like playing walk on and bunkering new players/girls just to feel could about yourself is taking it too far.

It builds up that players endurance and skill. Next time it would happen they would know what to do.

On the feild, I'm an asshole. I'll admit it. Off the feild, for the most part, I'm willing to help people out and don't start anything with anyone. If they wanna talk **** I'll talk **** back though.
Yeah, I have an ego. I'll walk up to anyone and let them know I'm better than them. I'll let them know that I can roll their whole team by myself.
I overshoot, I wipe, I play on. I'm not gonna lose to someone that I know I'm better than.
If someone needs help with a gun that I now about, I'll help them out. I'm not gonna be like "You're a noob and shouldn't have broken it", I'll just tell them how to fix it.

Orr it may discourage the player. The best and most positive way is to teach them verbally and then take them out and beat them and tell them what they did wrong.

Bull****. Rec ball play and tourney play are seriously different arenas. Sure, when the game is on the line and you are playing for cash and prizes, then its all good. But when you are a walkon player who has an attitude, then what skill are we developing other then wanton agression and legal assualt.
You don't tackle in touch football games, just so you shouldn't bunker in rec play.

If the rec player wants to play me, I'm not going to play any different. I'll treat the game like we are playing Dynasty. I'm not gonna treat them any different. On the feild I don't give a **** about anyone but me. I'll shot them out then I'll shoot them on the way to the deadbox. I'm not gonna give someone special treatment becuase they have never played before. If they wanna get on the feild with my team, that's fine with me, but I'm gonna gonna not play my best to make them feel better about themselves.
