Alrighty... heres the deal. My friend and I are making an attempt and starting a paintball club at our small narrowminded school. (If there is a drama club... paintball sure as hell better get one) We have the minimum number of members taken care of, but now our next and biggest threat... THE ADMINISTRATORS *bum bum bum* We are going to be attacked by the "guns and violence" card... but we will fight back with the "markers and sport" and kids playing paintball instead of doing drugs and all that corny crap. They will try to stop us, and we are only prepared for so many of their attacks. So please help me, I need to think of possible reasons they are going to think of to try to shoot us down, and ways to counter those reasons. Any ideas?

injuries-tell them that paintball is the safest sport-even safer than bowling

public disturbance-tell them that you guys will play organized games at a registered field.

You can explain to them that paintball is one of the safest sports around. Statistically, more people go to the hospital because of fishing than because of paintball.

If anything, paintball teaches gun SAFETY and RESPONSIBILITY. The fast paced nature of the sport also relieve stress thanks to the endorfins (sp?) released with adrenaline.

Really nice armo... teaches safety and responsiblity that one did not even cross my mind, ya... I'm going to print off some statistics later from a couple of non pro-paintball sites.

You can even say that paintball brings people together. You can cite the Christian Paintball Players Association as an example.

Paintball helps people too. You can cite William Shatner's "Celebrity Paintball" which is a one day scenario that raises money for charities. William Shatner actually plays all day (cool guy).

Yeah, we were going to do this at my old school. Make sure to enforce the name Marker over gun because it will help a ton.

that sounds like an awesome idea, i was gonna do it at my school but i got a prob. with our school and the admins,...hate em to death. but if you get that worked out, sweet man! go for it!

The statistics are right there. Don't be afraid to tell the administrators to their face that if they are willing to endorse and fund more dangerous sports, they would be wrong to prevent you from having a club at your school.

Paintball is perfect for anyone, companies, schools or whatever, that try to encourage safety, teamwork, personal responsibility, leadership, etc.

why would you want to start a paintball club? Its like meeting after school for something you could meet more comfortably at home or even...at the field, plus youll get a bunch of noobies then. Nothing against noobies of course
