Idea
So as I was trying to find a leak on my front pneumatics of my cocker (Go figure) I thought of a great idea...
A small disposable screw-in tank that is filled with HPA dyed with a color, (such as red) this dye will not stain your internals or anything to that extent.
Then when you gas up the gun the dyed air will show you where exactly the leak is coming from. This will take out all of the guess work, such as sticking it under water and see where the bubbles are and the infamous sticking it by your ear to see if you can find it.
Discuss /constructively criticize /flame /etcetera
Maybe this should go in Air System? Meh, boarderline, maybe I'll move it

I have thought about dying co2, but never to find a leak..... Seems to iffy, like maybe the dye will cause problems with the internals....

That's the real question, I'm sure it could be done with enough research.

I know, it's a great idea in theory, but your right, it will be very hard to get air to be dyed, the dust thing might work, but then you would have to worry about the dust sitting in your gun afterwards...

The only thing with different kinds of gas is you have to watch blowing/freezing solenoids and other electro pneumatic parts on some guns. Also ruining seals.

You cant. Air is colorless and oderless. You can make it smell and have color, but you'd have to add something
Perhaps another gas?
Or why not just use some sort of powder? Just have a special chamber , and screw in your own tank.

yea it would be hard with compressed air(maybe ) but shouldnt be with co2, because it its a liquid when in the tank, and it should work... ya know what, this weekend i may use my brothers cam and try it an have picas!

See, then you would have to worry about the powder getting stuck in little crevices of your gun. That's why it would be better to use another gas mixed with it as you and others have said.
It's a shady idea, but if someone could get it to work, it would be gold.

I've always eben a fan of the soapy water... the leak makes bubbles, but you spray it on with a spray bottle, not drop it in a bucket of water.
