Why do people not like Spyder markers

Everyone seems to dislike them. I have had good experiences with them and they are easy to fix.The had one and my two other friends have them now and they work fine.

Its not that people don't like them. They are beginner/low-end markers.

Once you've seen the light, you don't want to go back.

Less accurate in terms of kik/stability, not nearly as consistent, slower in terms of BPS, dont look as good, all in all, they arn't that good, relativly speaking.

Low end guns. Most people have mid-high end guns.

For what they are, they're great. Until the ion, and the trilogy cockers and wrath came along they had (along with tippmann) almost total control over the low end market. They are a great begginer marker for their reliability and simple maintanece, not to mention the load of aftermarket parts, but they just can't touch the quality and performance of mid-high end markers. Most people have no problem with spyders, and in fact would much rather see noobs start out with spyders until they know what they're doing enough to move up to something more complex.

I loved my piranha which was basically the same as a spyder, except it was abut 3x better in terms of quality... Kingman quality is absolutely awful.

Personally, I would rather have a fully upgraded Spyder instead of a Timmy, or whatever.

Look at Jester's signiture. "who needs a ion when u have skills"

Look at it this way. Who needs a Timmy (or whatever) when you have skills.

An upped spyder will never be an imtimidator. It will never have the low pressure operation, the all out speed, the little kik, and the great looks. Period.

That like saying you would rather have an upgraded Honda Civic instead of a stock Dodge Viper.

Look at it this way. If you are playing a guy one on one, both have the smae 'level' of skills, and you have a spyder, and he has an intimidator, who is going to win?

I'm not saying every recplayer needs to go out and buy the best gun they can. I'm saying that in tournament play, you want every advantage you can, including guns, intimidation, and wiping.

Well lets put it this way

say you were some amazing hot shot street racer. But the thing is you drive a Up'd to the max Honda Civic and one of the other racers have their ferrari, now you DO have the chance of winning but it would be so much easier to win with a ferrari now wouldn't it?

Try a high end gun i'm pretty sure you'll love a timmy over your spyder any day. It shoots much faster and has good shot to shot consistency compared to a spyder with their long e-triggers.

edit-
damn baurblades got to it while i was typing..and we both have the thing about the honda civic

Cause they assume ur a ****ing newb and make assumptions from there. Ignoring ur financial status, actual skills, etc.

edit* sry i was really pissed off. I'll answer it now.

Well, 1) they do see spyders as a newb gun. So they stero type what type of player u are. 2) most newbs think their spyders can take anything and refuse to accept facts 3) poorer quality then high ends, more kick etc

Everyone knows that if you pop a electric ram into a spyder you got a timmy, which is why timmys are simply overglorified spyders, the reason they are so fast is because stack tubed blowback are the simplest, and a very effective way to achieve very fast rates of fire, but they are fairly inneficient which is why spyders are inneficient, and timmys arent horrible, but hey, they are nothing impressive when it comes to effieciency.

A lot of timmys are, but thats only because of bob long's terrible quality control.

Spyders suck, I was reffing the chrono (making sure no one was shooting hot) and they wouldn't go low enough or just were like +-30 consistancy, with HPA. Meanwhile my gun gets +-2, not too mention its more reliable and faster, lighter, smaller, and has much better quality control.

I find it immature that people can think that spyders are great, when those are the only guns they've owned. Meanwhile, owners of mid-high end guns have usually had experience with spyders and loads of high end/mid end guns.

TL;DR- My gun is better than yours and spyders aren't quality markers
