who here hates tippmanns!?!
i hate tippmanns, its all my friends and anyone around here talks about, tippmann tipmmann tippmann! they are convinced its the best gun in the world,i mean its a good gun but like they blow it way out of proportion one of my friends bet me 100 bbucks, that if the best player in the world had a spyder like xtra went one on one agaisnt the worst person in the world with a tippmann, the kid with the tippmann would win no matter what, i was ok ill go get greg hastiing to play agasint u,
and i was like its not only the gun that makes u good, like say u bought a wicked hockey stick, that can shoot harder, faster, and is super light and is crazy and stuff, and then theres just a plain wooden stick, and u give the plain stick to brendan shannahan, and then give the crazy stick to some kid, well of course shannahan is guna pwn the kid cuz hes just good
and antoher thing that i dont like about the tippmann is that everyone owns one or they want to own one cuz its good, id rather be good on my own rather then trying to rely on that gun to make me good, do u kno what i mean? like i wouldnt go out and buy it just so i could be like i have a tippmann ill pwn any one now,and besides theres tons of guns that r better, and theres a lot that r almost as good and there a lot cheaper!
anyways tho!! anyone else fell the same way i do? plz share ur thoughts

I got a tippmann, liked it at first but now I hate it. They're good for a while but then they suck. Right now I'm saving up.

Not that I dislike them, but they are not for me. Then again I play speedball, so I'll never use a tippman...I mean who will pick a tippman over a matrix?

Greg Hastings isn't very good.
Tippmanns are good for a first gun, they are un-breakable.

Who hates em? Not me. I love Tippmanns. If it wasn't for a tippmann I never would have started this sport. It was my first marker. I had an old prolite with a smartparts remote line and armson barrel. Here I'll even post a pic. This was my setup from the early to mid 90's that I recently sold.
Still works as good as the day I bought it.
It's from the days of only cockers, tippmanns, and mags. OH yeah and that VM gun LOL. I bet most of you don't know what that is. Anyway after owning my tippmann for a year, I got my micromag, hence my name.
You kids need to respect the heritage that made this sport.

I hate the tippman fanboys more than the marker itself.

i have great respect fro tippman because of all teh player they bring inot the sport by offering afforbable noobie-proof markers. without tippman, paintball would be very small indeed.
BUT I myself do not like tippmans, they are too big and heavy. spyders a more suitable marker so strating out(notice i didn't say better, that's on puropse) for me.

I like my tippmann. the only bad thing about it is it's weight and length for trying to play speedball.
Even then, my friend Brittny played speedball with it last weekend and loved it!
They're not the best, but don't hate it, that's just ignorant.

Any marker from a company with anything close to quality control will last a long time if the owner takes care of it and doesn't abuse it on the field.
That aside, Tippmann isn't the greatest thing since sliced bread. I think the outline shape of the Model 98 is probably one of the most easily recognized things in the world of paintball though.
They're famous and as well rooted in paintball history as any company. But, as mostly an entry level marker, the crowd does draw a good number of people that think there's nothing better.
Great field rentals, Good scenario guns, good woods guns, fair for rec speedball as well. Really the same as any spyder, but those might suffer in the mil-sim/scenario area Tippmann holds pretty well.
