well as u can see in my sig im saving up for one, but ive been reading a lot about it on the net, and ppl r saying that even halo B hoppers arnt fast enuf for it, and i was wondering if a 20oz co2 tank would even work with it? or do i have to spend the like 300 bucks on compressed air stuff

First off, ask in the Kingman forum. Second...$414 is WAAYYYY too much. Imagines are like $120 and a ACS bold like like what? Less than $50. 20 oz c02 will work, but it'll be heavy. I suggest 12 oz or 16 oz.

And halos feed about 24, 25 balls per second. That way more than a Spyder needs.

umm ok just to clear things up, i live in canada, and i was on a CND site, and the gun is 340 and with shipping and all this other sutff its 414
and my friend just bought an imagine at wal-mart it was 199.99
and the electra can shoot 30 balls per second as advertised, says like 30 reveiws ive read about it

they lied, no spyder will get even close to 20, cept MAYBE with a tboard and ramping

... maybe thats why ur banned from the nation... a blowbakc cycle rate is at 44 last time i checked, you dont need to ramp to get 20bps, the rocker frame does 30, but you can average 15-17 easily.

Dude, just because the board can go that fast doesn't mean you can. I got 21 bps on a Spyder w/ bounce.

i seen a coupl vids where ppl were shooting 100 balls in 3 secs, thats like 33-34 balls a second, matter of fact i found the link on this site somewhere

some of you gyus are idiots, its not gonna go probabbly any higher than about 15 without serious mods/upgrades, if that.

i hate to inform you guys of this, but the blowback/sear tripping design is one of the fastest in existence for paintball markers. cycling rate increases with input pressure. with polished and/or lighter internals, you can get well over 50 cps on a spyder. you dont even need it to be electronic, just take out the sear, pull back the bolt, release, and it will fire full auto as fast as it can cycle untill you stop it, or run out of air.

does that make it worthy buying? no, not really. the main reason being that no hopper can feed paint reliably past about 28 bps (a qloader can feed mid 30s to low 40s, but im talking about the "traditional" hoppers here.) not to mention youre never going to hit anything, because the kick is so horrible. if youre going to spend over $200 on a gun, dont get a spyder. 'nuff said.

To be honest, I really don't understand why this rocking trigger would be any better than a really nice sensitive trigger... such as any trigger on any high end gun. You're still just walking it....

Rocking triggers are illegal in tournament play.

For the price of the Spyder you can get an Ion with real eyes with a real electropneumatic design. Who cares its capped at 17, you will not shoot past that in a game without having a seizure. With EP guns you have WAY LESS kick and you can control your shots so why do you need to shoot fast? You have a quieter gun that operates at a lower pressure. HEck.. Ions let your ramp to the top speed.

Think over this purchase carefully. Think also about the possible resale of the gun. New Electras have a hard time getting over 210USD here.

They might allow in some local tournaments, but even those usually follow the guidelines for national tournie rules, where a trigger can only have one microswitch; the rocking trigger has two. Unless they made an exception for it... but I think it's illegal.

wow yea so i have no idea what to do then...i meani had my heart set on this gun, i mean i love spyders and this is prolly the best spyder and it looks gnarly, but if its illegal and al u guys say it sucks wow i just dont know..
any sugesstions for a gun under 350?
