Drops
I don't really post a lot, but I read everything (only because I'm obssesed with the sport). I've read from probably everyone. Why dosen't anyone like drop forwards? I mean I wanted to put one on my matrix and got flamed for it. I just want to know, why no one likes em?

You're calling drops ugly, when you make duct tape wallets? J/K, actually those are really cool! So you're saying that I souldn't get a drop on my matrix?

drops are pretty much all prefrence of where you like your tank. if your gun is comfortable to hold with the tank where it is, dont buy a drop, if its too far out, get one.

Unimounts are absolutely awful... if you can, get the 05 CP on/off w/ a rail, or the Eclipse oops system, they own everything else on the market.

Drop forwards are horrible. They make you a larger target(you can not tuck in your elbow), look bad, etc.
Unimounts also blow. You cant adjust where it is, you have to remove the macro fitting to take it out of the cage, its a ***** to turn on/off, etc.
Get a rail and an on/off.

I agree about the unimounts, I bought a CIP uni becuase I heard everyone rave about them, but now I am a little disapointed. Its hard as hell to turn the knob, and you cant adjust it all. I like my CP 2k5 on/off and cp rail 10x better.

Yeah I kind of wish I got a cp on/off with a rail. I should stop taking my friends suggestions (no offense if you read this).

Unless you absolutely can't stand having to manuver the slightest bit to compensate the position of your tank, I wouldn't get a drop. Ugly, costs money, and makes it more of a target to get hit.

Personally i used to use Vert feed for my air tank all the time and i jsut recently designed and made my own drop forward and i love it so much. SO much easier to Aim and it balances the gun out so much. evry time i see someone with a botle off back of handle streight out back i think damn that thing must be uncomfertable. mind you i like to aim too not jsut spray and pray.
thats my drop.

you know, there is more than one kind of unimount. if you dont like the CIP ones, look at system x, trinity, and theres a few others but i cant remember the names.
drops make your elbow stick out... and the point im trying to get across is that by buying a drop, you are paying to make your gun bigger, heavier, and easier to get you out. im talking about the huge ass 8 foot drops that you always see noobs with. im not strongly opposed to micro drops like the one dye makes, but there is a point where enough is enough.

i got my drop for free when i got my gun, but anyways i like the drop better. when i had my matrix with a uni (put a friends on just to try it out) and it felt like i was holding a 98c. it felt too long and unweilding. take into consideration i did not play with the uni on there, but i did play around with it a little.
