I have a 98 Pro and want to convert it to use HPA. Now besides a N2 tank, what do I need to do this? I have been told that I will also need a low pressure kit.

just screw it in. thats it, any gun will run off of hpa w/o modification

What's the purpose of the low pressure kit? I know it keeps the pressure down around 350psi or so, but why would someone want this?

Wrong. Gimme a bit to scour for HP's essay length posts on this matter.

Let's just say it uses the same (or more, I can't remember) amount of air as HP guns do. The bolt must stay back longer, allowing more air in, or something to that effect.

If it runs at a lower pressure, it needs more air.

Think about it. If the air is lower pressure, you need more volume. If it is a higher pressure, you need less of it to get the ball goin up to speed. Of course, this is only true up to an extent.... You have to find a balance between the two.

A lower pressure does a couple things. The bolt is a lot softer on the paint. The gun should have a little less kik, other small things.

A LP kit on a tippman is NOT worth it. WAY over priced, use the money to go play with your new HP tank!
