I'll stick w/ HPA... I'd rather not have my gun blow up when someone lights a cig around it

Unlike the e-volt, this MAY have a lasting affect on the sport. Can you imagine how light your setup would be with a 12g sized tank that could make it through a whole tournament bracket.

You can die with hpa. Like newbs fillin up a 3000 on a 4500 and it kills them when the tank comes off..Very unlikely, but possible.

its a good concept...i think if this is proven to work, and be the same consistency and effectivness (probably not) as HPA, we'll all be using these in the next 2 years.

Someone in another forum posted something along the lines of what I'll write below. It's a nice look at things.
"Was the a problem with HPA/CO2 in the first place, and does this help fix it?"
Problems? No, not really. Aside from size and wieght vs number of shots there's nothing wrong with them.
Does this help fix it? Not really, but it is an attempt. Like the E-volt. It makes up for the lack of a tank by being huge and running on a battery. This pump cracks open the door to having an extremly small tank provide a large number of shots.
Enough with the smoking and "omg i'll burn alive" comments. It's like saying you won't smoke around a car while its running. Or not smoking around a propane grill, which itself is on fire.
Flamable gas is used in Airsoft, and it isn't even 'spent' when it comes out of the gun- it is used as straight up propelent. All the gas coming out of a C3 should already have been burned.

Exactly, I believe they call it "green gas". Know what it is? Propane!!!
With a little r&d this could be great. If you've ever played stock class you know how much faster you can move without a tank. Imagine a field full of speedballers w/o tanks. You think its a fast sport now.

think there's a reason they made it pump?
i do: with a popane powered gun shooting 15pbs, you might have some heat to dissipate. that would bring a whole new problem into marker design.
but i'm glad to see tippmann making a new gun (the 98 and a5 have been around for a while).

i don't think there's cause for a big safety concern, but remember, no gun is supposed to leak, but alot of them do. why would the C3 be any different?
btw does anyone know what psi the propane is stored at?
