First time playing X-ball
So,this weekend my friend is taking me to a new X-ball field that just opened earlier this year, and it is my first time. Is there anything I should know, and how is it different from a regular airball field, and are there any different rules? They also use reballs at the place.

not really different from regular from airball just an X in the middle, they use reballs, probably so they dont have to clean the bunkers every night

Shoot, and dont stop shooting and dont stop moving.
Xball is fast and you dont sit back and lay down pod after pod without moving from your primary. The back corners are key on just about any regulation sized xball field. Get there, shoot people in and move up the tapes.
Another cool thing is taking the X off the break. Take it, but dont run up against the side becasue your feet will get shot out most likely. Stand like 7 feet back where no one has an angle on you and blast out the back corners.

Move, move, move... Like they said, it's a faster paced game than regular speed-ball. In tourney's you can have an outside coach, but you might not get into all the specs. if you just playin for fun.

im assuming that you arent actually playing xball, just playing on an xball style field. In that case its pretty much the same as regular speeball but the x allows you to move much easier.

Because the X cuts off alot of shooting lanes, making it easier to move up the field. More moving=more players up front=faster.

^Therefore less lanes means that the backs put more paint down the lanes that do exist leading to more paint being used in an X ball game?

I played for a couple of games once, and all I noticed was that you have to keep moving and you can't be worried about how much paint you're using. It's fast and balls fly everywhere. Just make sure that your backs watch your ass and you don't sit in the same spot.
