Propane as an air source
Sorry if theres a thread on this now.. couldnt find one.
Well supposedly the C-3 is propane powered.
Is it really as good as co2 or na? 50k shots on a 16 oz is, woah..
Im guessing that propane only works on the gun as of now? to bad its a pump.

and the gun gets really hot if your shooting 4 bps so imagine 15 or people with their ramping in the 20's. It would be too hot to hold the gun.

Anyways, are there even propane tanks that would work on this for sale?

Come on now guys, It's about time that these sorts of things start to die off.
Small propane tanks exist for blowtorches and camping stoves/lanterns.
Yes, it heats up as you shoot. It's a pump. If they make a semiauto version, I'm more than sure it will have some sort of heatsink to stop anyone from trying to melt it.
No, It won't melt.
No, It is not a flame thrower.
Being afraid of it (as in omg it'll liek explode!!11`~) makes about as much sense as not riding in a car because its powered by an explosive fuel.
Are there dangers? Yes.
Of course, People manage to kill themselves with CO2 tanks as well.
Is this a perfect design? No. It's just a new technology that may or may not continue to develope. You may remember the boltless gun, the Epic (?) or the Nova. Those didn't exactly change the face of the earth.
Think of it as some member of the E-volt's family- Just testbed for a new power source.

A guy at my local field had one... said about 30k shots a 16 ounce... costed him like 4$ at the hardware shop.
*its extremely safe.

i think everybody is pretty convinced that propane isn't as dangerous as some may have first thought, but could propane be adapted for a semi? or is the "it would get to hot" theory true?

Right now im not 100% sure, but it could. If Tippmann were smart they would have it come with an adapter to switch between c02 and propane, but i guess that would defeat the purpose. lol. ill try to find some info on that, but im pretty sure the answer is yes.

You can't convert it to run on co2. Absolutely completely different internals. Doesn't operate the same at all.

BY THE WAY- Its not an air source, its used in combustian, as in, explosion. It actually lights a small amount of propane on fire to propel the ball.
