i use microfiber for the outside to remove finger prints, and everything on the inside can be cleaned with paper towels, q-tips, and 50/50 water/rubbing alcohol solution.
even if you dont have a microfiber cloth for your gun, it would be a good idea to have one for your goggles, and then you can use it for both. definitely worth the $3 you pay for it...
NEVER use paper towels on internals because they leave tiny scratches and can tear off and fibers stuck and cracks and stuff like that. I use a washcloth since its nice, thin, and flexible so its easier to get into cracks. I also use q-tips of course.
Q-tips
Microfiber cloths (1.99 for a 5-pack at eckerds, 1 for my googles at cleaning, 1 for my gun, 1 for the field, and 2 spares )
paper towels and normal towels for non-sensitive parts just to dry them
