I found an Ego on sale on a website for $640, however, they are out of stock. Xpaintball states that they "will match any price found on another site". My question is: Will they have a problem matching the price of the Ego on the other site because it is on sale, or will they have no problem with it?

If I do get the Ego, IYO what color should I get. I would love to get a blue one, but Xpaintball doesn't sell them. What other colors would look good? I'm thinking either the red or black one. I want a color that will look good with a J&J Egde kit on it. Thanks!

You found a EGO for only 640!!!!! it must be in used condtion or refubered or it is one of the older EGOs but i would check with xpaintball with that because it might not be a ego they have and also i think they only do price matching for new products and check if the site is not using a ladder system

First off: Yes it is new. The one on the site is an 05 Blue Ego. I would post a link, but I can't. It is normally sold at $850. They are having a sale.

Second: What's a ladder system? And for which site?

It is highly doubtful that a site charging $640 for an Ego, on sale, and its out of stock, is a ladder system.

Ladder systems are pyramid schemes, 5 people put down a little but of money each and then the first person in the ladder gets the gun. So, it would be like I pay 1/5 of an Ego price, you do too, then 3 more people. Once that last person has paid it makes up 5/5 of the Ego cost, so they send it out to the first person that payed. then 5 more people have to pay for the 2nd guy to get his and 5 more for the 3rd, ect...

The reason the Ego seems cheap is its an 05, and the 06s are out now, lowering the price of the 05s quite a bit.

I dunno, pbgear sold a bunch of ego's last week for like $600 during thier inventory blowout sale. They went crazy fast too.

That's the site I found them on. But do you think they would allow me to do that or not? I'm going to call them after school and look into it. If it works then woohoo for me.

An 800 number is free to call right?

I personally, don't think they will match up because its a sale, but hey they could, you never know until you ask them.

Most 800 numbers are toll free, check there site by their number it may say toll free.

Show a link to xpaintball where it states they will match any price.

I looked into it and all I could find is that it said they check in stock prices of their competitors regularly. That doesn't mean they will match said price.

I highly doubt it. Its below wholesale and they were having a huge sale for black firday/thanksigiving weekend...

Well, I just called them and no deal. All xpaintball has is the 06 models. The sale is on the 05. They also wouldn't match it because they are out of stock on pbgear. That sucks. The ony thing I can do now is either wait for them to come in stock and buy one VERY quickly, or just buy an ion. I really wanted that ego........

yeah, u got the tail end of a clearance sale for the 05s. U won't find any more unless u get lucky.

dude...if you have $600, dont buy an ion. Get a promaster or used shocker or something...

I would have no problem buying a LNIB shocker or something like that. It's my parents that are the problem. It was hard enough trying to get them to allow me to buy a NEW gun for $600. How do you think they would react if I bought a USED gun for $600? Yeah, not a good idea.

Is there any sort of "in-between" gun? Like between an Ion and a Shocker? I'm looking for a price of around $500. I need a backup choice besides the ion if I can't get that ego. Used guns are not an option.

Xpaintball didn't match the price (see above post). I'm monitoring village like a hawk (about 20 times a day) to try and get one as soon as they come in stock.
