heh, think how long it takes to fill up a ~50 psi bike tire with a normal pump (not compressor). i am not sure what the 3 stage thing is, but it takes forever to fill up a 50 psi bike tire, imagine a 3000 psi tank. you would definatly be too tired to play, or too late to play if you tried doing that between games.

WOH!
I just had an Idea!
What if you were to have a small pump, on each foot, and whenever you run, it pumps air into your tank??? Then you would never have to worry about air fills.

I tried googling around to see what I could find. But of course the minute you say "pump" all that comes up is pump guns.
I did find a tool by Nitro Duck called a Power Booster. It lets you use a regular compressor to fill 3000 and 4500psi tanks. I found one used for $1200, so no telling what it goes for new.

Ok, more news on the pump.
A lot of people shooting air guns use scuba tanks to fill their cylinders. (like our tanks, but smaller I believe) When you fill a 3000psi paintball tank from a 3000psi scuba tank, you basically only get a full fill the first time you do it, after that you get less of a fill each time since all your doing is equalizing the pressure between the two tanks. So, these people use these pumps to top off their cylinders after not getting a full fill from the scuba tank.
So, the pump does put out 3000psi. The article I read called the pump "a nice aerobic workout", so I imagine trying to fill a 68ci tank or higher would be a bit of a stretch.

someone should pick up on that. think about it. you dont have to run to your proshop everytime you just wanna test something out on your gun. and plus its free air. only if they found a way to increase the pressure per pump by like 40x

Yes... but it "could" work on a paintball tank. It would just take forever.
To be clear... this is not a viable option for filling your tanks. It was just an interesting find.
