Miliary lookalikes
All i see when i go to feilds now a days is Armortech or A-Tech ripoffs, in my experience, the fear factor is the only thing these actuall y bring to the game, this may be a powerfull weapon, especially against newbie players, but they don't seem o have great range or accuraccy, i'd even venture so far as tosay that some that i have seen down right suck.
Is anyone else seeing this or is iyt jus me??

Personally I think it's just you.
I have found the Armotech, Warsensor, and Miltech lines (made by same factory) to be very reliable, solidly build, and consitent on shot placement.
This comes from experience. I own many Armotech, Warsensor, and Miltech markers. All of which are built like tanks and are very reliable and shoot well.
I have also used cockers, tippmanns, freestyles and angels. So it's not like its the only thing I've shot.
It's just you.

Paintball markers are not weapons. I hate it when people call them weapons. Weapons are used to injure/kill people.

weapons have a ability to kill/injure people.
A pencil is not a weapon until you shove it through someone's temple.
Intent has a few things to do with it.
He was also talking about the fear factor.

Why would they shoot further then any other marker? Accuracy has to do mostly with the setup anyway.
Would I ever own a mil-sim marker? No, it's not my style of play.

I think that was the problem in your experiences. they sucked.
I once knew a kid with a timmy that got pwnt on a regular basis. The player behind the gun has alot to do with it.

Completely irrelevant.
I find that milsim markers usually suck because those that use them usually suck at maintening them, because it's newbs that don't what they're doing. I know a bunch of hardcore woodsballers that know how to tech their guns, and I've shot them too, they're pretty nasty for what they are. Same thing w/ Ions and cheap guns, it's usually a newb trying to maintain the marker, or rather just trying to make it better somehow and screwing it up.

And it's still irrelevant. We're not talking about the price of guns, we're talking about milsim guns and the point of them. Read before you post, and definitely read before you try and bash so next time you don't look like an ignorant prick.

I dont think you know whats going on dude. Your post was completely irrevelant.
And i have acutaly seen zero milsim style guns at my local fields... i find it almost weird. Most of the youger kids rock spyders, or highends, and the older guys are all cocker fans.

I saw a kid with one at my field back at home once. I was eating lunch and walked down to watch the woodsballers play and some guy was decked out in camo, and all this gear that I assume he thought looked military/SWAT like. Of course he was toting a $500 armotech POS, remote and everything. All he did was sit back at the closest pallet to the start and try to "snipe" people that were over 150 yards distant. (huge ass 200yard long woods course)
Needless to say I just kind of sat there and laughed at him with some refs. Intimidation factor? I suppose someone fresh to the sport would see it that way, but after the first game you would realize that he sucked, so no matter how much extra plastic he paid for didn't matter much.
As you can clearly tell I dont care much for these companies putting out these extremely overpriced spyders and marketing them to newcomers to the sport. I think they are pretty damn cool, and perfect for scenario games and really avid woodsballers, but I dont agree with the companies marketing towards new kids who waste so much money on a gun not right for them.

You fail in every way.
Getting back on topic... as in not do w/ the price of speedball guns... I went to an indoor airball field way back, and some young kid had a 98 totally decked out w/ the "sniper" stuff, remote, flatline, stock. It was funny seeing him on the speedball field w/ a gun that was nearly as tall as him. What was funnier was that it was still impressing the newbs, at least until they saw the results of him playing.

POS? Have you ever shot one? They are reliable and built like tanks. Sure they don't shoot 14million bps but they are not supposed to.
Just because something is a stacked tube blowback doesn't mean tis a spyder. If its made by spyder its a spyder.
If they are marketed towards younger kids, that is the problem with the dealers, not the guns.
