Paintball's Fun
You know that cliche about paintball being an escape, like something that just takes your mind off things for a little. I know everyone has heard it, but damn it sure made sense this weekend. Even though I play every weekend, this weekend was kinda weird. I've been stressed w/ school and all kinds of bull****. And when I played today, I didn't think but once about it. It was just ****ing awesome. I dunno, today kinda put things into perspective.
That is all.

Definately. I've actually found now that if I don't play on a weekend, I spend a lot of that weekend just playing with my gun and pretending to, sad, but it's damn addicting.
Paintball is basically therapy, but more fun.

When I first started playing, I would get butterflies in my stomach from the anticipation. It doesn't happen as often since it's been about 6 years since I started, but once in a while I get them on my way to the field, and it makes me fall in love with sport all over again

I love that feeling, of having no feelings but being here in the now, on the field, with no distractions. When I can't play, I ref or film, when I'm not at the field, I'm doing something paintball related at home. It's overpowering.

I'm looking forward to paintballing next week so much.
Like the others have said, anything paintball is an escape for me also. Here no one is bugging me about some whole gay drama thing at school or whose asking me to MORP 4 months early.
Good thread.

I look forward to it so much, then something happens and I don't get to play. I get so pissed off. I'll go out in the yard and waste balls, play Greg Hatsings on LIVE.
Yup, playing paintball is great relaxation. And for all of you that wanna play pro... just think about that. I'm not saying don't try to go pro, but just try to think if you could keep loving the game when you had to play it. It's one thing to look forward to playing every weekend or so, but to be committed to practicing. To having to play a certan way, all the time. Would be cool to hear from pro players on how they feel about the game sometimes.
