The other day I had this awsome idea. We have a big unfinished basement, i think its 80' by 50' (its almost a perfect rectangle with no walls to get in the way), and we have this small mudroom type thing that leads into the basement. When i was playing reball the other day, it dawned on me that i could actually make a reball field out of my basment. Just cage in the lights, make the mudroom a staging area, (we have some picknic tables) buy some extreme rage bunkers (or anything else i can find), and pick up 1000 reballs and use the wet/dry shop vac to suck them up and use them again. It would be perfect for my team, we could get together and practice and stuff all the time, without having to break the bank, and we'd be amazing after being able to play 2 or 3 times a week! On top of that, its heated/airconditioned

Whatdya guys think?

Good idea, but air bunkers are expensive. I'd try to get stuff that was close to the same size. Also try to lay down astro-turf or something like that. Sliding on concrete sucks.

good idea but yea ud prob need more reballs and turf would be crazy... and every once in a while u could charge people to play hehe

I'm guessing he meant 10,000, no 1,000.

I'd say go for it. Get a scuba tank and fill station for air too, and you pretty much have everything then.

I would get some carpet padding then astro-turf on the ground, otherwise your body is going to get torn up pretty fast.

haha, that'd be cool and then maybe have a Fridge stocked with Gatorade for refreshments and stuff in the basement too.

I'd say look for those cheap-o bunkers that are like, piping with some sort of fabric streched on them, so it's speedball style without the airball price.

He said he would get extreme rage bunkers, which are cheap. And drktamer, he did mean 1,000. Reballs are expensive as anything. As for everyone saying get turf and crap, they arent going to be playing actualy games, probably just running some shooting drills. Only problem I can see is air source, I guess just get some scuba tanks and your set.

Just make sure you set up sheets/tarps up against the 2 far walls that the majority of the balls will be shot at. It will collect alot of the balls if you set it up right, and it keeps the balls from striking the walls which can cause them to change their shape.

Yeah it sounds lik ea great idea but the more you start thinking, the harder it will be.

500 reballs is 150 bucks.
5 ER bunkers runs about 500 or so unless you have hookups.
Scuba tanks are also hella expenisve.

Do you really wanna spends 1000's of dollars to do drills? And if you wanna actually play games, waaaaaay more.

those extreme rage bunkers would work wonders in that basement cause they aren't tall at all, and get about 10,000 reballs

Well everyone would get a hopper full so it'd work for like otb drills and snap shooting.

^Alot of money for OTB/Snap drills. I think the cost outweighs the means, but if your serious about setting it up and practicing alot, then I suppose it would be worth it.

Yeah, but then you would have to pick vaccum them all up after nearly every drill.

What he could do is perhaps get some small sponsorship help, and go all out w/ the astro turf, netting, real bunkers, 10k reballs, etc., and then advertise and charge people to practice.
