paintballing in the woods
i live near a vast amount of woods and on friday my favorite paintball field closed
i recently bought 2 cases and dont wanna wait till spring to use them
so me and a friend made a plan
hike far into the woods away from trails and people
and play some paintball
now where both gonna wear the same color jersey and only shoot if we have a good shot
the place were playing has no posted signs against paintball
and were not sure what will happen if were caught
tips, advice, holy **** thats stupid ?

Is that your land? If not you could be arrested depending on how big of a-hole's the police are. And if your arested that could lead to you dropping the soap. And that could lead to being molested by a 400lb black guy called bubba.
I wouldnt do it unless it was on your property, or your friend's.

My friend was 13 when some cops made him stay in jail overnight for accidentally breaking a ledge while biking. I was once pulled over by a cop for not having my lights on. I was on a bike I was on the side of the road, a few inches over and I would have been on the grass rocks and it was only around 10:30.
Where in NJ do you live?

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. I always go out and just shoot, nothing ever happens. Just make sure you know exactly where all other houses are

We play woodsball all the time, we live in Northern(Vernon/Glenwood) New Jersey; I'd say about an hour-hour and a half away from where you live. We played an acre back from our house into the woods and it was fine......until......we built bunkers and stuff and obviously the guy who ownes the property was really possessive he tore up our hard work and put posted signs on every tree back there But i wouldnt worry if you play in your woods, you probably have less people near that could hear it. I say go for it. I suggest staying near trails or bring a compass though, because getting lost in woods is easy.

a county park? you got balls man. From what i know, discharging firearms(which is how the poliece are gonna see it) is VERY illegal on govermnelt property.

Well my argument in court would be that if its legal to play soccer (a sport) on county parks how can it not be legal to play paintball (a sport) on county property.
It should hold up, but it won't. And assuming for some reason it does, they'll get you for reckless endangerment because they will say there were no nets and some civilian could have gotten hit and hurt.
The police will try to get you for discharging firearms, but with a good lawyer that one is easy enough to prove wrong

is it realyl worth taking this to court tough?
you could make a good argurment though, seeing how other sports can be just as dangerouns to unaware passerbys, but i just don't think it's worth fighting in court about.

if youre playin out in woods and there aint noone around for a ways then go for it. if youre 14 and you DO get caught you'll probably just get a warning (although with good hiding spots and good camo you wont get caught at all ). Me and my buds do it all the time, but its also pretty close to a logging area so noone would care anyways.
