i bet someday, when pro paintballers conduct more like pro athletes, and all that great jazz, that pb will be an olympic sport, but as for the x games, i just dont think it "fits" the x games category.....who knows though

[quote=M98Man]It wouldn't really fit anywhere because for people that do not love paintball, it just isn't very much fun to watch. People running around in a field shooting each other. For us paintballers, its great fun, but for the people who don't really understand what paintball is all about, I dont think they would find it very fun.[quote]
Yeah but those are the same people who concider jumping over a metal pole a sport. (cuz we all know how exciting that is to watch). Besides they have other sports in the olimpics that seem just as violent as people "shooting each other". For example in fencing 2 guys fight each other with swords. And in boxing 2 guys beat the hell out of each other wearing nothing but some taped on gloves and a pair of shorts. I happen to think they would find it exciting. Even if they didn't do you know of anyone who watches the olimpics and absolutly loves evey sport? Seeing as how paintball is played by over 20 million pepole world wide I belive thats enough to get people tuned in to watch. And 20 milion world wide may not seem like much cuz there's mor people than that in california but not everyone who watches a sport plays it. How many people who watch football, basketball, ect... actualy play the sport them self.

I hate to say it but i would.
I honestly dont care what people say, paintball is not the caliber sport that is found in the olympics. Why? Because paintball doesnt require any where near the athletic ability that Basketball, Roman-Grecco Wrestling, Track events, etc.
Its Olympic for a reason. Paintball is not olympic.

one word
curling.....i rest my case
you can not tell me every sport in the olympics you must be more physically fit than in paintball. The guys/girls that do curling, some of them are well overweight and all they have to do is move down ice rubbing it with a stick...
pb might not ever make it in the olympics, but not for that reason.

well paintball won't make it to the x-games
paintball is a team sport...look at all the events held at the x-games...it features one person and one person only not a whole team of people...so it won't make it unless you want to change it to one guy just standing around shooting targets...and that doesn't seem very exciting
paintball isn't spectator friendly...in other sports you can see where all the action is...it focus's on one ball, one puck, or one athlete...theirs too much action going on in paintball making it hard to watch. You can't really see whats going on and paintballs travel really fast so you can't keep up with every single shot going back and forth you only get to see people shooting and getting behind their bunkers and such.

He's saying if curling doesn't take much physical ability, but it's in the Olympics, then why shouldn't paintball be for the same reason?

i just thought about this - the olympics are trying to unite all countries both rich (america) and poor (africa) so they want sports that are affordable (running basketball ect) for the poorer countries this means the sport of paintball costing soo much that many people would have to spend their yearly income on one marker

im tired of these threads.
x-games
x-games dont have any team sports, paintball is a team sport. paintball will not be in the xgames, make all the stupid pointless online petitions you want.
Olympics
paintball will never be in the olympics so stop asking. First of all it has major public preception issues. Second, no team other then the us one would have even a slight chance.
There is a fundamental difference between pb and the xgames, nfl, nba, ect.
in pb the leagues make money from the teams and spend money on tv, in allmost all other sports its the opposite.
none of the above is gonna happen so stop asking.

But majority isn't playing. One country, one team. I'm sure not everyone in each country is poor.
