Hello, I am a student at Arizona State and have some questions for some research that I am doing. I would appreciate those who will take the time to answer these questions. I know they may sound lame, but it will help me out quite a bit.

1. About how much do you spend in a year/month?
Depends on how many times you play. Costs me around 40 dollars a day to play.

Internet, stores are way overprices
3. Where would you say you spend most of your money? (ex on equipment, guns, ammo)
paintballs are pretty expensive, as well as upgrades.
4. How do you hear about new products?
probably here
5. What piece of equipment is most important to you? (Besides the gun)
hopper, can't shoot fast without it

How often do you play?
twice a month probably
7. How long have you been playing?
not long, like 2 months
8. How did you hear about the sport?
one of my good friends is obsessed with it

about half of our "clique"

i like basketball and soccer

Questions about money spent and equipment:

Probably around $50/month. So around $600 a year (Not including if I buy a new piece of equipment..)

2. Where do you get most of you equipment from? (Ex. At the store on internet, or through catalogues)

Online for gear usually. At the shop for paint/air/field clothing.

3. Where would you say you spend most of your money? (ex on equipment, guns, ammo)

When you start out, it's all about the equipment, but now I spend most of my money on paint and air..

4. How do you hear about new products?

Internet/Magazines.

5. What piece of equipment is most important to you? (Besides the gun)

Mask. You need a good mask, and you can't spend too much on protecting your eyes.

6. Questions about background in sport:
How often do you play?

Once a week.

7. How long have you been playing?

6 years.

8. How did you hear about the sport?

My friend bought a paintball gun, so I did.

9. In your social group what percent play with you?

5% probably.

10. What are some of your other hobbies or interests besides paintball?

Music, snowboarding, and art.

Too many to list..

13. What piece of equipment would you like to see improved?

Nothing really, it's all prety good. All the ideas have been thought of, really.

14. How many cases do you go through in a day of playing?

In the winter season: 0.25.
In the summer and fall: 0.5-1.

15. How many girls do you know that play?

None

. (Not personally anyways.)

About $150/mo in the summer, like $80 in rest of the year. You do the math.

Paintball Dynamics and eBay

Mostly paint...I'm always obsessed with upgrading though so that comes really close.

Mostly from other people at the field, sometimes from places like this forum.

The mask all the way. I'd take a Spyder and a nice, comfortable, thermal lense mask over an Angel and a POS mask any day (good luck playing if all you see is little shapes inside a massive cloud of fog)

How often do you play?
About once every other week, during the school year once a month or so

7. How long have you been playing?
I first played 6 years ago, but I didn't get serious until about a year and a half ago.

8. How did you hear about the sport?
The Internet actually...I was the first of my friends to get into it.

9. In your social group what percent play with you?
Well I kind of have a paintballing social group and a non-paintballing social group, so i don't know how to answer that. Maybe it averages out to 50%?

10. What are some of your other hobbies or interests besides paintball?
CounterStrike, the Internet, Programming

11. General information questions:
Mmkay

12. What is some paintball slang terms you use or typically hear?
Too many to count...bonus ball probably most often? Burp, chop, I don't know.

13. What piece of equipment would you like to see improved?
Non-kit barrels. Nowadays it seems like if you want a good barrel you have to go out and buy a $200 freak kit; the ones that come by themselves are usually spyder and cocker threaded only and aren't too spectacular.

14. How many cases do you go through in a day of playing?
Depends, since sometimes I play at my friends' makeshift field, which is heavy woodsball...there I might use half a case a day in paintball, but partly cause we goof off more than we play. In a day at the real field playing primarily speedball, it depends on how much money I have heheh. I've gone through 3 cases a day once and it's not too rare to go through a little over 2.5, but most often it's usually right around 2 cases.

15. How many girls do you know that play?
As far as serious players...none. I brought my girlfriend with me recently and she wants to go again, and I've seen some girls when I go with church groups and stuff, but I have yet to see a girl at the field that's not carrying a rental marker.

only a small percentage of my group has played, but atleast half of them have tried it once.

Playing guitar, saxophone, and piano. Tennis and Basketball.

I spend anywhere from $50 bucks to $250 bucks a month playing, depending on how often I play, and where I play. (Tournaments are way more expensive).

Year - Too much Month- Well I have a season pass to the field and paint is like 65 and i upgrade my gun alot so proly around 200-300

With a pump marker, 150-200, with a semi marker at least a case(2000)
