Pros cheat far more than anyone else.

QFT. The Olympics is tuned more towards spectator sports. Paintball simply doesn't have that kind of fan base. The vast majority of people who would actually watch a paintball match are paintball players themselves.
How many aspiring figure skaters, out of the thousands of people attending, go to the Olympics and other figure skating events just to watch other figure skaters? Not many.
Bad analogy, I know, but paintball just isn't well-suited for an arena setup, and most of us like it just fine the way it is.
Edit: Another thought just occured to me: It's hard enough to see paintballs when they're flying straight towards your face. That being said, how difficult would it be for the average person to see a .68 caliber projectile flying 300 feet per second from 75+ yards away?

most pro paintball players cheat, but then dont a lot of olympic athletes cheat too?
im not saying i want or that paintball will be in the olympics, or the xgames, im just making a point. In addition to format chalanges(paintball is not watchable sport for nonplayers and it is considered even less of a sport outside of the us then in it). Also with the current state of the world, i seriously doubt another us dominated sport would be approved by the international olympic comittee(it would be like them approving football)

IMO pb is a more "watchable" sport than....curling...i would bet my paycheck that if (and IMO *when) pb is an olympic sport, you'll have more of a crowd than they get in curling, so i dont think because it is hard to watch/understand it is not in the olympics....its just not right now
i bet down the road though, like i have said many times, it could be an olympic sport.

At this point right now, yes it is. At least curling has a camera angle that let's you see the action. Curling has a focal point, the rock. Until someone devises a setup of cameras to be able to catch the action in a paintball game, it will not be that watchable. You will need multiple cameras and someone coordinating those cameras to make paintball watchable for the masses.

a step in the right direction for the "camera" thing, would be get camera's right behind guys, not like RIGHT behind them, but set up camera's to catch the main lanes, so you can see what someone is shooting at, and try to get a good overhead view, so you see someone shooting one way, then a guy walks off from that direction, you would know he was shot from that guy (maybe not, but ppl watching wouldent know)
but in no way do i agree curling is a more enjoyable sport to watch, hence i believe pb will be an olympic sport, and many ppl would attend the matches making it very successfull
my opinion only

He didn't say anything about how many people would watch what, he said curling is more watchable. And I believe that's true for the reasons I listed.

Watchable doesn't mean it's enjoyable. Watchable, defined by me, means that to it is easier watch, which is what NYY was talking about. And of course more people would watch paintball than curling. I mean, come on, action...

yeah i understood what he was saying by watchable, but IMO pb is more "watchable" than curling...
but then again i think of watchable as being both "watchable" and "enjoyable", cause when i watch somethign i would like to enjoy it...if that makes sense...
wtf is watchable...lol

Well, I think in your situation, the correct term is enjoyable, and not watchable. And PB is hands down a lot less watchable than curling...
