keep it in a backpack. Although most of the time, people generally dont steal your stuff, since there's usually people who work for the field somewhere nearby. Paintball is generally a nice sport, with people who are cool.

If you're at tournys. Other people from other teams will make sure you're gear dosn't get stolen. Without you asking, its a pretty brotherly sport.

Don't let your things get out of your sight. Don't leave them laying around while you go off to get whatever.

I keep all my stuff in a bag, on top of a picnic table. I suppose someone could very easily go into my bag while I'm on the field, but it's a small field... so it hasn't been a problem.

I'm a regular at my homefield along with about 50 other regulars, and we all just keep our junk together and watch it pretty much. Not everyone is playing every single game, so there's always a handful of people standing around the gear.

Like BrokenMonkey said its a very brotherly sport. I have friends that when I go to the field and they're there, they watch my stuff, and vice versa.

Most of the time, it seems that people who think their stuff got stolen have just lost it. Keep your kit organized and dont leave stuff scattered, where someone might mistake it for beiing theirs

My club gave away my set of hex keys last time they played. Not lost or stolen...Given away.
I stayed at school sick on game day and gave them my bag of air tanks with the keys in it so they could adjust the guns. When they left the field one of them saw the keys on the table and told some player there "Hey you left your tools".
Azain's post reminded me about it... I thought it was a funny little story about losing equipment.

The 2 fields I play at normally have these large plastic bins that have holes for locks, so you can lock up your extra paint and valuables while you're on the field. The box is also bolted to the picnic table so no one is walking away with the box, but although I'm mostly new to the sport, I've noticed like was mentioned above, it's very brotherly and people will watch out for your stuff.
